And yet played a ripping last q v the dees. I think he's AFL standard, just off his game at the moment. May never get it back.

He's a genuine whipping boy and absolutely not the problem with our game plan at the moment.

Houli as bad as was is still a better prospect than ms bellis.

They tried but ultimately failed.

Not beating sides better than you is a sign not much has changed at the football club, so let's see how they go next time. I'm expecting much of the same finishing with a choke in September.

This side needs a lot of work.

Need not worry though I'm sure they will smash freo this week , then lose the next.

I would have thought that beating a side that is better than you would be extremely difficult for the simple fact that they are better than you! Having said that, they were competitive and just needed a fit Prestia in the side and they probably would have won. At least they are playing a better brand of footy than the poo they dished up last year (or 3).

Let's face the facts. Nobody expected us to be where we are currently so we have exceeded expectations so far. What I want us to do is introduce/blood a couple more youngsters this year. Bolton and Garthwaite are the two that are available as Stengle needs to be elevated.
OER. Calling it as it is since 2004.

At the end of the day we are 5-2.  I'm sure we were all upset at the loss but we played with heart.  We still lack a little polish and are desperate for a second tall forward marking option but only one other side has a better win loss record.
This is going to be one of those years where any team can beat any other on it's day.
Very important we win 2 of next 3

I think that's the main issue with the guy. He can play good attacking footy, has a good kick on him (not really showing it this year) and can play really good quarters but he has always been and will continue to be a panic merchant with no right foot which just exacerbates the issue. In addition he isn't a great defender. He was a stop gap player who has now been a 1st choice player for 7 years

Let's face the facts. Nobody expected us to be where we are currently so we have exceeded expectations so far.

Speak for yourself. I was one of very few who knew we would be playing finals and was saying so late last year (yes I know theres still more than half the year to go so I'm not claiming to be right...yet ;) )

Do we just assume Houli gets the arse when Halfstep does?

Unless it is a mid season sacking, then we will probably have to wait the season out

Yeah I knew that, he got an extension in the off-season  - I meant will he stop being an automatic selection every week?

Better watch that hardwick prick when he gets the arse, getting young Rioli to live with his family.

He'll try to take him wherever he ends up

He really is a horrible person isn't he. Fancy the head coach helping some of the young talent adjust to the professional sporting environment.....

So you'd be ok with Ox's scenario then?
