Really disappointing that Ella Wood has retired so young. Showed some great signs

And don't get me started on still no coach  :banghead

"The right candidate" ....hmmm

Our 2nd draft pick from last year walks for nothing. FMD! How much longer do we have to put up with these AFLW halfwits

I think everyone knows I am fan and incredibly supportive of the Club's Women's Program

I am also acutely aware that the Club needs to make cuts

But I have to admit that right now I'm struggling to understand what is going with this program.  :huh3 :help

This just a precursor to more I'm afraid.

Covid will still be around next year. An operational vaccine is still 12 months away at best. You can't have VFL & VFLW teams where AFL/AFLW listed players are mixing with VFL/VFLW listers from outside the AFL bubble.

It's so much about the money

Just the decision(s)

Coach sacked because a scapegoat was needed for the season. While the results were poor the main issue was the list build and he had zero input in that.

We trade out one of our better players for only pick 45  :P

We still don't have a coach

And now this

Forget COVID, these are just bizarre decisions

And I think the reaction on social media just shows the passion some people have for women's footy. Reckon the Club has misread the tea leaves on this one

The club has the wrong person running that program. Its a dogs breakfast at the moment and shows a lack of managerial ability but im sure theyre trying their best.

No ones denying the passion aspect.
I'm sure people with better understanding of the situation are hopefully making the right decision.
Most of the tweets were centred on the fact that we had all this money and were querying if so why this program was no more.

I mean out of AFL, AFLW, VFL and VFLW which program did people think would be cut if the financial situation dictated one would need to be?

Expect more cuts and programs gone.
And less coaches.

Have received an email from the Club today around the VFLW announcement

Most pleasing part of it was reading that Balmey (who is massive fan & support of women's footy) is more hands on going into the 2021 season AFLW   :clapping
