Has Jack got the yips ??
« on: May 28, 2017, 09:29:08 PM »
Whats going on ??

Was once the best kick for goal in the competition.

Now he's missing sitters.  Missed crucial goals against Freo and GWS .

Hope its rectified soon .

Think MT mentioned it another thread Jack's issue is his constant change of routine

Two shots are never the same these days.

Needs to go back to the system that worked in previous seasons.

Rot started mid last season and has got worse to what we have now

I posted this in the other thread. Jack's not following his previously tried and tested successful routine. He needs to get back to it especially for the sitters that he is currently missing.

IMV Jack's got the yips because he's not following his normal routine which is a smooth 9 step run up and kicking through the ball. At the moment he's 'stopping' halfway through and stabbing at the footy off a couple of steps. He's also getting too close to the man on the mark which causes the kicker to hook or slice the ball off the boot.

At least he kicked the one in the last quarter when it mattered this week.

Definately yippy

Notice how he is happy for others to take the mark/kick.

It all started when DH played him as a more defensive player and offensive assister ;-), go girlfriend...

lost his mojo/ full forward cojones, needs some mongrel back in him. Play him in the ressies, not allowed back until he kicks 2 bags of 10. That should motivate him.

Yes he has missed 3 very easy ones in the past couple of weeks. My bet is he will turn things around very quickly as he is a star and will go away and work in it as he hasn't got a chip on his shoulders that tells him it will just happen for him.
Also kicked a very important goal from 50 late in that game, so maybe we can be a little more forgiving.
