Lennon for Casboult.
Don't mind Lennon either (one of the few).
It is in our favour, but Carlton owe us.
(Hampson and Yarran)

Casboult is unrestricted free agent. Would not cost us anything other than $

Gotta think this is an acknowledgment of Griffiths gone and not good enough and they have concerns rightly so that Chol may not make it.

One thing tippett would be a significant  upgrade on both Griffiths chol and before that Vickery in the ruck.
As a fwd id say he is a fair whack in front of those blokes  as well.He aint nothing special and at 30 he would want to come cheap. But there is no doubting and im not sure it says a lot ,he would be a decent upgrade on any tall fwd/ ruck type  we have or had..
He has been good enough in the ruck to allow us to give Nankervis decent time on the pine or even have a few rests up fwd without losing too much.

As for kicking goals when fwd he goes at 1.84 a game for a ruck/fwd that is not too bad.

To finish not saying i want him just pointing out a few reasons why we would look.

Structurally Id be okay with a fwd set up like this

Bolton - Gunston - Tippett
Butler - Riewoldt - Rioli

Tippet would go into the ruck Nankervis gets a rest on the bench and we dont lose too much.   we could then  rotate a medium mid like Martin and caddy when he does go into the ruck and your not losing too much structure.

Again this is not an endorsement for us to get him but it is pretty darn clear we need a viable mature  ruck/fwd option on the list, as we only have Chol and hes apparently a fair way off it and may not even make it.

Glad Griff is injured too, he is worse than TV when it comes to passion.

While I get we all have players we dislike; some people go as far as to say they hate certain players

But to actually be glad or take some sort of pleasure out of any player being injured is ...well.... low

Especially the type of injury problem Griffiths has. It is extremely serious.

Really cannot believe that anyone would be glad about it  :huh3
A touch dramatic WP.
I'm glad Griffiths is injured otherwise Dimma would be playing him and he IMO has been part of the old problem at Tigerland. We have played with such little passion for such a long time.
His body has let him down basically since he walked through the doors and yet 7 years on he is still taking up a spot on our list while he continues to get paid. If he has to be on our list I would prefer not to see him.
I hope the club pushes him to retire because we need to move on.
I'd also like a few others that I think are the problem injured too. I don't wish they were dead but gone.
Why is that so wrong if I think a player isn't the answer?

You're glad he's injured or glad he just can't play? Because yes there is a difference. Being glad about someone suffering continual concussions is horrible.

Latest rumour is that we're into Tim O'Brien from Hawthorn.....

As I've already said, if he was fit Dimma would be playing him so I'm saying I'm glad he is injured or if you want to sugarcoat it, I'm glad he is not playing.
I'd prefer to watch Richmond play like they have this year than how they did last year and a lot of that has got to do with what I think Griffith lacks. So if it's injury that keeps him out of the side than so be it.
I'll add that I hope Griffiths is ok personally but I've seen enough.

Chol is fine, needs more time to grow into the game, just like most lanky talls.

Agree, would be a handy back up for Griffiths in the VFL
