Hawthorn     67,325
Collingwood  ~70k
Just 58k to their opening round game. Kitty and Rover obviously couldn't make it last night  :whistle.
Don't they have something like 20K members in Tassie?

At some stage they will need to choose, relocate to Tassie or remain in Melb.

Either way the poohole of a club will die.

So the round one record would not have been broken? what with only 3500 people brave enough to go out in the wet in Cairns.

3. Record breakers in the Melbourne sun

With the temperature pushing 30 degrees for the bounce on a perfect Melbourne day, 70,711 fans packed into the MCG, seeing the highest ever crowd between the two clubs. Just minutes before the bounce of the ball, lines outside the ground were pushing beyond the concourse with thousands missing the opening stanza. With restrictions in place outside the ground within 80 metres of the venue, the car parks around the ground were at full capacity pre-game. Having never met in a final, the previous record between the two clubs was 66,305 in round 18, 2015.

True to form, North are having a good season and still can't draw more than a few stray dogs to their games.

More than 1 million people have attended @richmond H&A games in ‘18. A crowd of 67,054 at #AFLTigersCats @MCG, has us at 1,043,369 with 3 rounds remaining. We’re grateful for the tremendous support.

We should break our all-time record H/A season attendance against Gold Coast.
