muppets at AFL should have thought about the crows jumper clashing with any of the the clubs when they came into the competition back in 1993 or whenever these freaks joined the AFL

AFL has said we must wear our clash strio in the GF

THE AFL has announced that Richmond will wear its predominantly yellow clash guernsey in next week's Grand Final against Adelaide.

AFL football operations boss Andrew Dillon said the Crows would wear their home guernsey in the match as the highest-ranked team participating in the Grand Final.

"The AFL legislates that the home team has the right during the home and away season, and it was the view here that with a clash, the AFL had previously made the decision for the higher-ranked team to have its choice," Dillon said.

Tigers legend Kevin Bartlett was quick to register his opposition, tweeting: "Richmond should and must tell the AFL to get stuffed and it will not wear its clash jumper against Adelaide. The club must not roll over."

Asked whether the AFL's decision was disappointing, Richmond coach Damien Hardwick made it clear he had bigger Crows to stone.

"We'd play in a hessian bag to be perfectly honest. I stole that from (Richmond property steward) Guiseppe Mamone, so make sure you put his name in there," Hardwick joked.

Is this the same afl who votes yes on SSM but can't create an environment in which its gay players feel safe and comfortable enough to come out in?

Richmond's jumper was in existence when Adelaide entered the AFL, so why were they allowed their jumper design in the first place if it was going to clash with existing patterns - 'Talk about Dumb' :thumbsdown

So will the umpires wear blue? Or that fluro green thing that's an even greater clash with our clash jumper than our regular one is with Adelaide's?

RICHMOND will accept the AFL's decision that will see the Tigers wear their predominantly yellow clash guernsey in next week's Grand Final against Adelaide.

Speaking to ABC Radio on Saturday before she was made aware of the official decision, Richmond president Peggy O'Neal said her club wouldn't put up a fight over the issue.

"We'd all like to be in our traditional jumpers but the AFL decides those things. It's not us, and we'll play our best game in whatever colour we happen to be in," O'Neal said.

"I'm sure they'll make a decision on that pretty soon. I know what we'd all prefer but if that doesn't go our way, we'll do what we have to do."

Gun defender Nick Vlastuin wasn't concerned when he spoke to Channel Seven on Sunday.

"I don't mind either way. So long as we get to play," Vlastuin said.

I stole that from (Richmond property steward) Giuseppe Mamone, so make sure you put his name in there," Hardwick joked.

How much is the fine?
Exactly right who asked why was Adelaide allowed their strip if it clashed.
Weak as pee Peggy and Brendan, run out in the Yellow and after the anthem rip em off to reveal OUR original strip- what they gunna do?
stuff the afl

Reckon its a show of good faith and curry some good favour to get Cotch off - not that it helps with the MRP being a separate body (sort of).

Adelaide finished top so they get the preference. Its a small concession considering we're playing it on the 'G.

I'm not really fussed anyway.
