I am with Lamingtion, build him a friggen statue!  He resuscitated the beast that is our club and we will not let them forget the last 37 years of CRAP they have piled onto us and our club.  The man should be deified, others wilted, he persevered.  Nobody gets through without making mistakes, it is if you don't learn from them that condemns you.  We found a unique way to win a flag with what we had at our disposal, not the perfect team that everyone aims for.  THAT is the brilliance, in the military there is a saying, "adapt and overcome"  and Hardwick and co. did it with what they had, it is the same principle.

He delivered a premiership where so many others have failed. To his enormous credit he took responsibility for his failings in 2016 and sought to better himself.  Furthermore he showed he is and was prepared to listen to advice. He was persuasive in getting Leppa back. He formed a very good bond with the players and got the players playing a team oriented brand of football. I have been critical of him in the past but I will be forever grateful to him and the players for beating the premiership draught.

Absolute Tiger hero.

Always backs his players, has taken us to finals 4 out of the past 5 years and won a premiership. So glad our very competent administration and board backed him in last year.

I've got to say I thought he was talking absolute nonsense when he said we had to go a half step back to go forward but again he was absolutely right. In many ways 2016 defined us as a club in many ways causing the review, the introspection and connections required that eventually made us premiers this year.
The club that keeps giving.

what garbage, Hardwick still makes the calls from the coaches box, he still dictates the game plan.  Other coaches can suggest stuff and he can take it or leave it and they implement what Hardwick decides on.  He pulled it off, he has excellent assistant coaches and they have put together a premiership.  Give some stuffing credit where it is due ffs

Hardwick's best effort at a game plan came last year and it was a steaming pile.

Carracalla came up with the game plan for this year and Lepitch came up with the forward setup, without these two important changes Hardwick would not be a premiership coach.

Hardwick's strength is he has the players loyalty and is a great people person.

And yet I heard that Choco had a hand in last years game plan....How do we know anything for sure?

How can you still be so bitter? We just won the bloody flag! I'm still on cloud 9.

It's amazing that people think that the assistants had nothing to do with anything unless we are winning.

Who is bitter I celebrated the win like every one else, where I draw the line is when Hardwick fans try to make up false narratives about how Hardwick was the great architect of our win.
