absolutely no surprise. If he was going to stay he would have re-signed months ago

Understand the decision but it still incredibly disappointing

We selected him when no one wanted him, so it is still a kick in the guts to Club that took a chance on him and the fans who adore they way he goes about it

This. Loyalty is finished

Upgrade broady to the leadership group is what I would do.
Agreed re broad he has spoken well this season.

Loyalty is dead from players, but for me it depends why they leave. Can’t blame someone for wanting to go home after what, 6 or 7 years ?

JHF is just a pee weak individual though.

Agree. If he was going to stay he would have signed earlier. The draw of returning home was too strong. Plus I don't think it helped with the state the club is in at the moment. It looks like the mass exodus has started. Losing a player like him is a going to make next year very tough.

Agree but reckon for 1-2 years Broad would be the perfect captain. His values are exactly what we need right now

I'm on board with this.

Additionally I also thought Taranto's 2024 was more disappointing on average than the rest of the team, after a great 2023.

Can’t be Lynch, too injury prone. I think others have said Vlas doesn’t want it.

Yeah have heard that re Vlas. Don't care about Lynch's injuries. Make him captain and if he's injured then hopefully we've got a good vice.

Probably will be Tarranto tbh. Don't mind that as long as he finds some form next year

I’m not so sure they’ll take it off nank unless he volunteers it, but if they do I’d say it’s TT unless vlas has a change of heart.

Think Lynch would be a big mistake. If you could bank on him being fit for even just 3 qtrs of the season then 100% you would but unfortunately that isn’t the case. Leadership is a big big issue atm, one of the biggest imo, if we do change that would be third club captain in 4 years. It has to be one that sticks atleast for 2-3 years.

Yes let's continue with our -and one of the AFL's- most undisciplined players as captain then wonder why when we get hammered by the umps all year again.... :shh

Regardless we still get our 👖 pulled down by the umpires.
