Butler bursts through but misses. 3 behinds to him.

And then another miss (Townsend)  :scream.

Edwards to Conca around the corner. Jack knocked it over Townsend. Butler towards Castagna but we stuff it up. Hawks gain possession but a good tackle by Georgie and he is rewarded. Goal  :gotigers.

Rich  8.7-55
Haw  4.5-29

Hawks straight out of the centre to get it back  :banghead.

We're getting smashed in the clearances 10- 21. That's what is keeping Hawthorn it in. Missing Prestia big time.

Almost another one but Rioli misses.

Some of our worst field kicking I have seen in a number of years. Is it really that difficult to nail a pass 20 metres. Has happened first two rounds and inside 50 there is no need, way too unselfish, just put the bloody thing through the big white sticks, very simple.

Grimes injured or sunburnt?
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Alex Rance took four intercept marks in the second quarter to consistently repel the Hawks attacks. This is the second-highest record in this category this season, behind the five intercept marks he took in the third quarter against the Crows last week.

Reece Conca has been critical to the Tigers this quarter, winning eight disposals this term but also ensuring that the Tigers have retained possession from seven of his disposals, clearly the best on ground in this category.

Thank gawd for Rance! Had about 5 or 6 marking intercepts in that qtr alone.

We are missing the bigger bodies of Prestia and Caddy in the middle.

Mitchell is killing us at the centre bounces. Rance saves the day again.

Cotch to Castagna to Lambo back to Cotch. Across the body. Butler to Towner to Jack = goal  :gotigers

Our speed on the rebound does it again.

Rich  9.7-61
Haw  6.6-42

COnca out of the middle (we actually won a clearance). It;'s a throw-in.

Lambo to Edwards. Gets around Stratton and hits up Higgins. Misses a gettable one.

Jack intercepts the kick-in. Goal  :gotigers.

Rich 10.8-68
Haw   7.6-48
