Conca was good

Yeah, really good I thought. Showing the same sort of form as early last year.

Hopefully his body can sustain the effort......

If anyone needs conclusive proof that you don't need to tag Mitchell, the Tigers provided it today. I must admit though that it helps to have an effective defensive structure for Mitchell to have to play into. Our defence was really good for 3 quarters in shutting down options for Mitchell to move the ball forward to.

Mitchell got plenty of it, but I didn't think he used it well at all. Cotchin had significantly less possessions and was much more damaging.

getting the four points is always good but our performance was very average. The good part is that Prestia, Caddy, Rioli and Broad will come into the side at some point and that's when we'll be our strongest, Id suggest we need a 2nd tall up forward who is mobile and can take a mark but for now we are 2 and 1 and going ok.

Serious question

What to do with Kane Lambert?

Was poor again today, cost us 3 goals with atrocitious decison making and terrible handballs in our F50

Horrilby out of form and not coping with the extra attention

And Rance is in trouble, like Caddy last week too late

Yes he’s horribly out of form but still works hard both ways.

I wouldn’t drop Lambert as yet WP. Once Prestia and Caddy are back he will be more damaging.
The club that keeps giving.

lambert is still starting 18 for me. still the hardest two way runner in our team.as tigeritis said, he will benefit with caddy and prestia taking the heat off so he can burn opponents off with his tank

Loved the win but you Tigers nearly gave up the game. GAME FACE BOYS, ALWAYS!
Lambert is probably gone as we have way too many in form players to choose from that aren't playing at the moment including those big names due to come back anyway.
The third quarter, the premiership quarter, it's Dusty time. He starts to shine and then delivers in the most AWESOME fashion.

Mafia Island & Erin Phillips' Brother-in-law were big outs for them, not to mention a 5 day break v our 9 day break. Really shouldve belted them but instead we were nearly overrun.  Still nowhere near where we were last year....missing Prestia, Broad & especially Rioli....Conca & CEllis have been inferior replacements....Lambert out of form, Houli & Grigg ordinary(the latter getting exposed in the ruck now- Nank also getting done  by bigger & more agile opponents)BEllis back to his worst(though was ok yesterday).... blokes like Bolton, Lloyd & Short are defensively inferior.....a bit of lairising by certain players....shorter pre-season (though it doesn't seem to be affecting Adelaide but then again as runners-up they're probably a bit more determined than us at this stage)...

Watched the game again and must say it was Castagna's best game as he was clean, composed and played like a CHF :bow

The thing I like about Castagna is the way he sticks big tackles.
