The other three that could come into calculations are Higgins, Menadue and Broad

It's good to have depth. :shh
OER. Calling it as it is since 2004.

Depends on the weather.

If it is wet/damp, I'd go Miles in a shot.

If dry and fast, I throw Menadue in to the team.

who comes in. Lloyd could see Caddy spend more minutes as a mid. Menadue adds speed and class. Broad, Higgins, Miles, Ellis, Soldo, Bolton, Moore....the list goes on. We have amazing depth so whoever gets the nod I am happy with :gotigers

Bring back Higgins
Bring back Higgins
Yeah  :thumbsup
The third quarter, the premiership quarter, it's Dusty time. He starts to shine and then delivers in the most AWESOME fashion.

The Herald-Sun's Barometer Round 5

RICHMOND

ON THE BLOCK: Toughie. Damien Hardwick had to turf two blokes who had done nothing wrong to get flag stars Josh Caddy and Dion Prestia back in the 22. Maybe Jack Graham has a rest, either through injury (his thumb was strapped after the game), Michael Christian or rotation.

ON THE CUSP: Nathan Broad is the interesting one. Was available for selection in Round 4 after completing his three-match club suspension but was named an emergency. The Tigers will be keen to give him a chance to continue where he left off in a premiership-winning defence. First-year dynamo Jack Higgins might have to wait another week for a second crack at the big time, but he’ll get plenty of chances in the future.

ELIZA SEWELL’S FORECAST: The Tigers are 3-1 and looking good but it’s worth remembering two of those wins have come against Carlton and Brisbane. Hawthorn was a genuine scalp while the loss to Adelaide in Adelaide can probably be written off as insignificant in the scheme of winning premierships in 2018. Tough test awaits in Round 5 — Tuesday night, Anzac Day eve, v Melbourne at the MCG. Bookies have the Tigers solid favourite and on form Dimma’s boys are 4-1 before facing the Pies at the MCG on a Sunday arvo in Round 6.

In the Mix: Round 5

RICHMOND

Get them in: No one back is from injury as the VFL had a bye. Nathan Broad is available, Jack Higgins and Sam Lloyd were unlucky to be dropped, and Anthony Miles and Corey Ellis were good in round one of the VFL.

Under the pump: Tough to single out poor performances from a 93-point win and Damien Hardwick made a point last week of keeping players in the team who were deserving of their spot.

Medical room:
Daniel Rioli is the only player on the injury list with the Tigers hopeful of his return via the VFL in the next few weeks. Jack Graham is challenging his one-game striking ban at Tuesday night's tribunal.

Verdict:
Lloyd, Higgins, or Miles are obvious options to replace Graham if he's out. They'd have to shuffle if Broad came in, or they could surprise with Ivan Soldo or even Callum Moore to stretch an under-siege backline.

Ivan Soldo to counter Gawn and play Nank forward.
Weather looks good for Tuesday so aerial power would be of benefit.

I reckon Miles will be an in.

Most like for like replacement for Graham.

If Jetta doesn't come up for the game, then I reckon Miles is a definite inclusion. If Jetta is fit, we might need to go for more pace.

Seems a reasonable sort of idea, but we have resisted that temptation in the past (getting some real help in there for Nank) against better teams than Melbourne, so not sure why they would change the philosophy now.

Also, I can't see Soldo playing very often in the same team as Nank. Again, history suggests that the selection committee don't like having two big ruckmen in the team, so if we do go for more height and support for Nank, then I actually think Chol might be the player picked.

Offers much more around the ground than our other talls, and we place a premium on that, to the extent that we would rather use Grigg as back-up ruck and concede the hitout.
