Well this stat confirms today is our worst effort since the St Kilda loss.

Richmond has been outscored by 47 points from intercepts, its worst result since Round 16, 2017.

Second halve we switched off.Our midfield didn't do it's job pressure snd tackling etc so much easy ball in defence, but defence was poor to.

Dimma kept faith in a few for me Lloyd is a vfl footballer and Grigg shouldn't have come straight in.I think we could have did better at the selection table bringing Soldo to help Nank and Menadue for more pace.Dimma needs to add a string to our game plan getting to predictable.Teams aren't zoning off us now going to the ball carrier.Still a few talls short to.

can garthwaite come in for Broad?
Garth is a KPP whereas Broad is 3rd/4th defender who plays on the opposition's more mobile linking tall who runs up to the wing and back (eg: Wood, Crows' Lynch).

thanks for the clarification. They're both 192 so I thought maybe Garth had the legspeed to do what Broad does.

Butler passes it to Jack instead of going to goal and the siren goes before Jack can mark.

6.3 to 13.8 after half time  :help. They won the pill and were too slick on the outside. We were woeful.

Final Score

Richmond    2.3    6.8     9.8   12.11-83
West Coast  6.1    7.2   14.5   20.10-139

Goals: Riewoldt 5, Short 2, Caddy, Edwards, Castagna, Conca, Houli.

Defence hasn't been great this year, but midfield didn't  help.
Blame is on our mids and HFs. Very soft today. Aside from the second qtr, there was no intensity nor tackling pressure. No defender can stop lace out deliveries into space under no pressure.

Hopefully today is a kick up the backside. Don't bring that intensity and tackling pressure over 4 qtrs against any side let alone a top side on their home deck then we'll get beaten.

There’s no reason to panic. Play this game at the G and it’s a different ball game too.

The eagles played an excellent game and didn’t allow any midfield dominance. Many of our boys were strangled and we had no answer for Nic Nat at all.

I think we need a break and recharge the batteries. Maybe the match committee could’ve done better with selection when playing so many games during the Anzac period.

Agree George. But our defence also has an off night.
The club that keeps giving.

Game's passed Grigg by

Stengle, Baker in fur in for Butler & Lloyd

Need another tall - Moore /Chol in for Townsend

Menadue or Markov in for McIntosh

Comfirmed: Conca still a dud, replace with Prestia

Other than that:

And George should not have played as he is clearly injured with a knee...

Astbury like many got toweled up big time!!

Move on to next week and bounce back with a few changes...would try a second ruck or key next week along with a small change with the smalls in the forward line.

We have been up as a team for some time. This had to happen eventually, happened against Crows and then again against the Saints last season. We rebounded  bigger and better from both experiences.

Agree we need some fresh legs with Butler needing a rest and Lloyd just not quite up to the speed of our game. Maybe even Georgie needs a break as he didnt look fit to me. The Saints will be no easy beats and neither will the Bombers the following week so need to take both games very seriously.

Not an excuse for the loss as we got smashed but for the record we received just one free kick after half-time (to the Eagles 14).

1st:  6 - 3
2nd: 3 - 4
3rd: 1 - 8
4th: 0 - 6
