New Sponsors
« on: March 21, 2006, 05:11:48 PM »
Just having a quick look around the RFC web-site and I noticed that we have a couple of new sponsors in 2006 - good news :clapping :thumbsup

One is HOSTPLUS - they are the mob who've just signed on with Melbourne Storm as a major backer.

The other is Skins - high performance sportswear

Hostplus is a good get. foster that relationship properly and it could be truckloads to the club for years to come.

If this info is correct and  I am not doubting it because it's been in the pipeline for a few months now  ;) - this is a sensational effort by the RFC because Motorola normally only renew their sponsorship of sporting associations and clubs on a yearly basis.

To have a international company sponsoring us is a massive

Well done RFC and thanks Motorola :thumbsup

Tigers say Hello Moto for two more years

Richmond today announced that Motorola has re-signed as a co-major partner of the Club for the 2006 and 2007 seasons.

Motorola, renowned worldwide for its innovation and leadership in mobile, wireless and broadband communications, is now into the fourth year of its partnership with the Tigers.

“It is this link with leadership and innovation that makes this such a wonderful partnership,” said Richmond’s President Gary March.

“As a club that is on the move, and focused on leadership and being innovative in all we do, we could not ask for a better partner than Motorola to join us on this journey.

“Our Club and players are proud to support Motorola and use the latest mobile technology and mobile phones.

“Motorola is also committed to the development of our young players and will continue its sponsorship of our VFL affiliate, Coburg, in 2006.”

Andrew Volard, the Managing Director, Motorola Mobile Devices, Australian and New Zealand, said his company was delighted to continue its strong support of the Richmond Football Club.

“Seventy percent of people who know about our association with Richmond are now more inclined to purchase a Motorola phone,” Mr Volard said.

“Motorola is at the heart of Tigerland, supporting AFL fans with the opportunity to win phones by participating in the “Ultimate Tigers’ Fan” competition.

“The Motorola Ultimate Tigers’ Fan Competition will run at seven Richmond home games at the MCG and Telstra Dome this season. Teams of Motorola staff will photograph Tiger fans using the new Motorola RAZR V3X phone.

“Photos of fans will appear on the scoreboard screen before the game and one lucky person will be selected to win two President Club tickets, a coaching staff pre-game briefing and entry to the players’ rooms . . . not to mention Motorola phones.

“Motorola is proud to be giving footy fans the chance to win this season. So, watch out for the “moto masher”, and you could be a winner with Motorola.”

List of new 2006 sponsors/ TV ratings have doubled.

A letter from Steve Wright with the Fighting Tiger Bulletin lists our new sponsors on top of AFG re-signing:

Crazy John's
Host Plus
Tattersalls
K-Mart
Wise Employment

We now have our highest level of corporate support in the Club's history and Wright says some new 2007 partners will be announced shortly. I presume one of those will be our new clothing label (Reebok?)

Wright also says our TV ratings are double those of 2005 (an increase of 4 million viewers). Our match day attendances are also well up on the past few seasons. And of course we've broken our membership record - 29,406 - which passes the 1999 mark of 29,351.

Add the $6.5 million dollar redevelopment of Punt Road Oval and it's all good news coming out of the RFC :thumbsup  :clapping

Good stuff - Bad luck for anyone who grabbed Hummel at the start of the year. Luckily I was not one, most of the stuff in the Punt road shop is 20 % off and will probably be half price at caribbean gardens at the end of the year.

Was in the shop before the game Sat and the shop Lady was playing dumb when my mate was asking about the clothes and sponsors, spose you have to try and sell it off.

I never really liked the Hummel stuff anyways, for example the polo's etc were not exactly black .. was ready for an upgrade after TAC but will wait to next year for a wardrobe enhancement. :thumbsup

Tiges sponsorship is cheap to what theyll all be worth in 3 years so they may as well jump on board now.

Weve had a poor sponsorship record for a long time. Its good weve finally got a GM and a day to day administration that seem able to make inroads.

Tigers find the answer with PJA Solutions

Richmond is delighted to announce PJA Solutions as its newest commercial partner and sponsor.

PJA Solutions, a Melbourne-based company, is the provider of large-scale software systems for the pathology, forensics and diagnostic services market throughout Australia. Its premier product, AUSLAB, is in widespread use, with one of its installations representing Australia’s largest public health clinical system.

The AUSLAB brand will appear on the sleeve of the Richmond media polo over the next two years (2007-08), and will be seen by millions of people around the nation.

Of particular interest to Tiger fans is the fact that the package will enable the Club to purchase the five replica premiership cups for the 1920, 1921, 1932, 1934 and 1943 premiership years that it currently does not have in its collection.
