Kingsley is the next Brian Royal and Peter Sumich.  Destined to be a career assistant after missing multiple senior jobs.  Alan Richardson was similar and when he finally got a senior job it went Sth quickly.

Saves some dollar too. Get young, hungry assistants in who cost 2/3 as much and then you can flesh out the footy department a bit better.

I do think it's good for players to get some experience of other systems elsewhere though, otherwise we won't evolve as they will repeat what they already know.

Never thought I’d see the day when people would pine for the return of Shaun Grigg  :lol

Honestly the more I see this thread continue the more it annoys me.

The fact we had to let guys like MacRae and Leppa makes me sick we have this type of character developing our next gen. I'd be very disappointed if we renewed this contract.

We should be active in bringing across a really experienced assistant, one who isn't using us for a better job. Sounding out a Dean Cox, even Don Pyke. Even a David Noble, as much as Teague hasn't come at a time of success I'm all for this type of appointment. We forget that Leppa was a failure at Lions and was an incredible AC for us.

Bring Knights home. Partner that with some younger new ideas, get Grigg to come home and share Geelong secrets.
Go Tigers!

Tim Livingstone has a big off-season ahead of him I reckon.

Any insiders (or those with passing proximity to the club) willing to rank our assistants? I've always wondered about guys like Andrew McQualter--he's been with us through almost the whole shebang, but goes under the radar a fair bit. Maybe there's a tendency to underrate him as an assistant because he was a bit part player, etc.

Just so we criticise the right aspect.  Adam is the Defense Line Coach.  Andrew McQualter is Stoppages and Centre Bounces.

Website says mcqualter is midfield/offensive and Kingsley is midfield/stoppage. Is the website wrong and I’m going off out of date info?

Based on the briefings I've received from both, this year, yep, the website is wrong.

Close to the worst group of assistants every assembled.

Compare that to Leppa, McRae, Rutten, Caracella and Kingsley.  All of these guys are or will be senior coaches before long.

Our current assistants outside of Kingsley have no chance of being senior coaches and Teague was a massive fail.

We are one of the best ranked I50 teams..I reckon  Teague has done his job.

I'd be looking at McQualter for our complete disaster at stoppages and Clarke for our inability to address I50 dominance.

Kingsley (2 flags) and McQualter (3 flags) haven't suddenly become bad assistant coaches. I'm a firm believer that players make coaches, not the other way around. If we'd been more composed in the last month, we'd be firmly inside the 8, knocking on a top 4 result and a genuine flag tilt would be on the cards. It's a fine line, and we don't need to throw the baby out with the bath water.

We'll undoubtedly make changes to assistants at the end of this season, and that will be for the best. Turnover of assistants is necessary to keep ahead of the curve.

Agree on Teague,

Our offense has been good. I mean the fact we had Clarke come in and kick 3 goals on debut, Cumberland coming on and making impact. Lynch being top of Coleman before injury just about. Jack being a year older and still getting shots on goal. I think Teague gets a tick.

Our midfield, pressure and defense at times has been belted and its what has cost us games (outside of the last 2 games and the kicking for goal debacles).
Go Tigers!
