clarke has shown something before. First few years if i can recall.

Soldo Hampson have never shown anything

They may be all the same, but i would give clarke a crack for sure

Zac Clarke's shown even less than Hamspud who at least kicked 4 goals against us once,,,,,stuff me drunk we finally just got rid of King of Spuds and now people want to replsace him with his heir apparent....:facepalm

Zac Clarke was by far the best ruckman in the WAFL all year, absolutely dominated.
Maybe the WAFL is his level or just maybe a year off an AFL list has put a rocket up him :shh
Either way he’d be a huge upgrade on Soldo as a back up.

The WAFL is his level. I don't see him cutting the mustard at AFL level. He is a reasonable ruckman for sure, but has little else in his repertoire. Monsters the WAFL because of his size, where a lot of the other ruckmen give him 5-10cm and 10-15kgs. Not capable of playing forward, and doesn't offer much around the ground.

Not a competitor like Nank either.

I get the angst now. I was mixing him up with the Geelong  Zac who I thought we were talking about
and who had shown a fair bit

Now I recall the unco freo Clarke. Pass

Surely there’s a local tall option. Ffs If a yank can pick up the role in a year surely we can find someone somewhere

Smith has the ability , but lacks motivation, must run and tackle if you want to make it in today's game
Might be better to develop what we have

Zac Smith is a dud. Zac Clarke has raw but unfulfilled talent due to poor development
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

If Jarrad Oakley-Nicholls was 6 '8 he'd be Zac Clarke... :shh

Why would we want Clarke anyway? he'll be 29 by March next year and what's said here he isn't a star (far from it) I think I'd rather give games to our younger developing rucks
