Early call but what do you think (or even hope) our best 22 in 2019 will look like?

This is The Age's Richmond side for round 1:

RICHMOND'S POTENTIAL ROUND ONE TEAM IN 2019

B: David Astbury, Alex Rance, Nick Vlastuin

HB: Jayden Short, Dylan Grimes, Bachar Houli

C: Shaun Grigg, Dion Prestia, Josh Caddy

HF: Shane Edwards, Tom Lynch, Dustin Martin

F: Daniel Rioli, Jack Riewoldt, Jason Castagna

Foll: Toby Nankervis, Kane Lambert, Trent Cotchin

Inter (from): Kamdyn McIntosh, Nathan Broad, Jack Higgins, Dan Butler, Jack Graham, Brandon Ellis

http://www.afl.com.au/news/2018-10-02/analysis-how-will-tigers-forward-line-work-with-lynch

If this is our team in round one that we have not learned the lessons of last season.

Cotchin said that we would be looking to our younger players to drive the improvement so I hope to see the likes of Balta, Garthwaite, Naish, Markov, Bolton and CCJ given a chance to prove themselves throughout the year.

Cameron Ling at half-time had our best 22 as tonight's team with the following 3-to-4 changes:

Baker -> Stack
Soldo -> Nankervis
Butler -> Cotchin
Chol -> McIntosh ... Ling said he is a fan of Chol's so this change would depend on
                              whether Chol holds his form/role in the last few rounds.

Reckon had Jack Ross not got injured when he did he would be well and truly considered best 22. Think he will be our muscle man along with Graham in the guts. If Cotch doesn't come up or has another hammy episode in or around finals then Ross should be primed to come in. Prefer him to Higgins TBH.

Someone has to go out for Stack to come back in.

Yeah it’s not gonna be easy call to make.

Maybe short. Bring in stack down back and move baker up forward.

B: *Nathan Broad, Dylan Grimes, David Astbury

HB: Shane Edwards, Nick Vlastuin, Bachar Houli

C: Sydney Stack, Trent Cotchin, Shai Bolton.

HF: Daniel Rioli, Tom Lynch, Kane Lambert,

F: Jason Castagna, Jack Riewoldt, Josh Caddy

Foll: Toby Nankervis, Dustin Martin, Dion Prestia

Interchange:  Jack Graham, **Liam Baker, ***Marlion Pickett, ****Ivan Soldo,
Smokies: Jack Ross, Kamden MacIntosh.

*Rance is the obvious replacement for Broad if ok to play even as third defender at 60% capacity.
**Short has been taking lessons off Brandon with pants some pooting antics of late.
***Marlion is speculative but he’s already a better prospect than the chief Snugglers nappies representative we have running around every week.
I have a feeling he will be our 2019 version of Townsend.
****Soldo is ahead of Chol only because of his work ethic. Chol does do the Lay-Down-Sally too often especially late in games which won’t go down well in a final.
The club that keeps giving.

Apart from Pickett who I can’t comment on as I haven’t seen him kick a footy, I really like the look of that team.

With nank back I’d still probably lean to Chol over soldo. Nank will ruck the majority of the game, just needs a chop out 20-30% of the game.

Has anyone ever seen Stack play as a wingman? Just curious cos I've only seen him play as a forward/defender
