Everything and everyone bar doctors and half the senior coach’s salary

So it includes not just people costs but everything else eg medical supplies, food, pre season camps, jall costs related to the VFL program etc

The AFL has listened to its coaches.

The league has told clubs it is increasing the soft cap by $750k next year, and a further $350k in 2027.

The soft cap was set to lift by $250k for 2026 and 2027, so this is a total uplift of another $600k to $1.1 million across the next two years.

Already 20% of the senior coach salary can be paid outside the soft cap. That's staying the same, but a senior coach is now entitled to a further $100k in marketing funds.

In addition to this, 20% of a senior assistant’s salary will sit outside the cap.

And potential finals bonuses for coaches and footy department staff.

Hopefully we can now afford to sack Serpell, pay him out and finally employ someone competent. #thirdtimesacharm :shh
