Not saying he'll leave... but he will get offers that will be tempting. Carlton, North and Collingwood all rumoured and ready to stitch us up if they can. The sooner we sign him the better.

Great rumour. When did you start it?

Lets hope he is a loyal kid or that the club gets into gear and signs him. Info came from someone who in the past has had good information. If you think other clubs are not looking at how to wreck the fabric of our club then your kidding yourself. They hate us and will do whatever they can to bring us down.

A week is a long time between games and it is also a long time between training sessions.
After copping a spray from head coach Damien Hardwick for being late to last week’s training session, Sydney Stack wasn’t about to let lightning strike twice.

Our man on the ground at this morning’s training session, SAM BUNN tells us Stack was among the first players out on the track this morning.

Yeah think Collingwood are having enough trouble scraping every dollar out of the barrel to retain Grundy, Moore and De Goey over the next couple of years.

Gee Stack is good.
Some of his team mates could learn from his work ethic and coolness under pressure.

Stack is averaging 17.3 disposals, 5.8 marks and 3.1 tackles in his inaugural season at the game’s highest level.

Among the competition’s rising star contenders, he is ranked first in intercepts, second in marks, seventh in disposals and seventh in tackles.

The big one for me is the disposal efficiency of the new kids.

Stack - 84.65 (9 games)
Garthwaite - 82.93 (5)
Short - 78.43 (3)
Ross - 76.4 (5)
Baker - 68.92 (8)
Butler - 64.86 (8)

The player shaping to be the "biggest draft steal in the history of the AFL"

By SEN
14 June 2019

Kane Cornes believes Richmond young gun Sydney Stack is shaping up to be the “biggest draft steal in the history of the AFL”.

After being selected by the Tigers in the pre-season supplemental selection period, Stack has been highly impressive, averaging 17.3 disposals and 5.6 marks from his first 11 games.

Cornes believes the 19-year-old is already the “complete player”, which he exemplified in Thursday night's 33-point loss to Adelaide.

"Sydney Stack is shaping up to be the biggest draft steal in the history of the AFL,” the Port Adelaide great told The Captain’s Run.

“Last night on the big stage away from home, he was clean at ground level, deadly when he had the ball in his hands and he went at 82 per cent disposal efficiency from his 22 touches.

“We know that he’s tough, just ask Jack Viney that, and defensively, he’s sound.

“Besides one brief moment of Eddie Betts brilliance, he had the superstar small forward covered.

Cornes says every club would be regretting not selecting Stack in the 2018 AFL Draft.

“Due to Sydney Stack’s off-field issues, he was overlooked by every club at the draft last year,” he said.

“But now, there isn’t a club in the competition that wouldn’t kill to have him on their list.

“In fact, if last year’s AFL Draft was re-done, Stack would be a top five pick. He may even go top three.”

One of the very few times I’ve agreed with Cornes..... :whistle
OER. Calling it as it is since 2004.

Thing is, I firmly believe less than a handful of clubs actually could develop him. We’re just one of them. I mean, imagine where he’d be at if he went to Carlton or Gold Coast?

From Robbo's "Likes" column:

2. THE KID HIMSELF

Sydney Stack is a revelation and perhaps a leader of a revolution. The argument that he is a serious rising star contender can’t be ignored. He’s explosive, fearless and creative. His footy IQ for a 19-year-old is off the charts. When he gets his fitness to the necessary levels he will be a brutal weapon in the midfield.

As for being a leader of a revolution, and as Gorman pointed out, Stack will express himself how he wants to and when he wants to without fear of criticism or ridicule. His war dance at the Dreamtime game was powerful and authoritative and his embrace with Eddie Betts was much the same. You’ve got to admire his dash.
