2019 should be an educational year
« on: March 29, 2019, 11:19:17 AM »
I think 2019 should be an educational year for our club.
Games should be put into Collier Dawkins Ross Coleman Jones
Stack and Balta. Really focus on developing the next core group of players. Even the likes of Naish and the other young draftees
We need a real focus on development in 2019. I think this focus will help us compete strongly in 2020 and beyond.

We may be forced into it anyway with Rance injured and Jack possibly missing 2 months.

Geelong do it well, integrate the kids while playing finals.

Our guns are still young enough to challenge again, but pump games into the kids this year and contend again next year.

Jack to miss a month with an undisplaced fracture. No surgery needed.

Were all not happy , but no way no we use this year as educational. If we don't make finals even with outs we have I will be dissatisfied.Simple Lynch is the main man now up forward and use Moore next to him rate this kid.Garth and Balta to come in to.

people can dream all they want...fact is other clubs have worked us out....we didnt only lose yesterday cause of how pathetic we played but because of the tactics Collingwood implemented...

so unless Caracella can come up with something new...its back to the drawing board

It's a bit premature to be calling it the end right? The Bulldogs won the premiership from 7th from memory so making top 8 should still be on the agenda. I think this can be done while getting games into RCD, Garthwaite, stack and Balta.

It will be a rough 4 weeks as we have a hard start to the year but we should be getting winning streaks soon.

Think the goal should now be revised to "just make the finals and see what happens"... :shh

...reckon this season might be like '15 when we were 2 & 4 before Hardwick finally decided to bring in some kids for a few games and it freshened us up,,,,except hopefully this time he'll stick with them because they look a damn sight better than the likes of CEllis, Lennon, Arnott & McBean.. ..:shh :shh

people can dream all they want...fact is other clubs have worked us out....we didnt only lose yesterday cause of how pathetic we played but because of the tactics Collingwood implemented...

so unless Caracella can come up with something new...its back to the drawing board

The irony is Collingwood basically just played a similar gameplan to Hawthorn's premiership gameplan ....a gameplan we used to regularly defeat even when we weren't that good....:shh :shh :shh

i think back then we weren't as arrogant as we are these days and we respected the opposition's game plan and tried to counter it....where as these days i think the attitude is "stuff what they do, we'll just play our way...you know..."the Richmond way"
well it doesnt work if half of these muppets are going at 50%
