Think he's worth a little more than that, unfortunately.

Although if there's a firesale going on in Adelaide you're every chance...

We haven't the $ in the salary cap to pay another player $650k per season.

There is always room. Front loading, back loaded or spread evenly, there are ways around the TPP.
OER. Calling it as it is since 2004.

Barrett on MMM yesterday (Saturday) said he doesn't see Richmond doing anything major on the trade table after going big last year chasing Lynch. We'll be sticking to doing something on the speculative front like we did this year with Stack and Pickett.

Ch 7 news saying west coast have offered Shai Bolton a sizeable contract.  Not sure why they would want him with similar players on the list.

So no Kelly for the Eagles then.

I’d say he is staying with the Cats.

We should have signed him by now. This is going to cost us salary cap by paying more to keep him.

Bolton still very much 50/50 and has never been more than that... :shh

We're still eyeing off a few big bodied inside-mids that may become available... going to be very interesting to see what happens....what we get for Ellis and possibly Bolton if he leaves will have big say in how it all transpires....also suspect what happes re: GC's request for a priority pick might have a big influence on things too... :shh :shh

West Coast make major play for Richmond's Shai Bolton

Tom Browne and Digital Staff
7News
1 September 2019

Shai Bolton could yet re-sign with Richmond but he has another offer on the table to consider – and it's from the reigning premiers.

West Coast have made a major play for the 20-year-old as he continues to hold off on putting pen to paper with the Tigers.

Bolton made his debut in the 2017 premiership year but his six games did not include an appearance in the finals, while he managed only three games last year.

The midfield-forward has made his mark this year, however, after going home to Perth to improve his fitness.

That drive has impressed Richmond's coaching staff and Bolton has played 16 games this year, including the club's last nine – all wins.

His efforts have also drawn the attention of the Eagles, with their offer doubly attractive for family reasons.

Part of the reason for Bolton's drive to improve came from his contract situation heading into the 2019 season, having left it until October last year to sign a new one-year deal.

He has recorded career-high averages in disposals (14.5 per game), goals (0.81), goal assists (0.88), tackles (3.56) and inside 50s (3.63) this year.

He appears set to play in Richmond's qualifying final against Brisbane next week despite playing below his form level against the Lions in round 23, recording just seven touches and one tackle.

Honestly if he wants to go let him go.

We can broker a trade or he can walk and risk being picked up by the likes of Fremantle...

He'd actually be better off going to Freo if wants a regular senior spot... :shh

I really doubt the Eagles would have the cap space to offer anything significantly larger than what we would.
