This would be awesome...better than getting Coniglio IMO ...but don't too excited - the source is notoriously unreliable and there's more than a few holes in the story.:

lol that was the same dude who went full on attack mode on a journo (think it might have been Morris) when he first reported gaff had a change in heart and decided to stay in west coast, calling him pathetic and a rubbish journo who makes things up to create a headline. Was so awesome when gaff resigned a couple days later.

Anyway agreed, Taranto would be an unreal pickup!

See below:

Is that the same page that went on an epic rant when it started to break that Gaff was staying at W.C, calling out Tom Browne a poo stirrer, and finished by cantankerously stating Gaff was 100% signed, sealed and delivered to Norf?

3 weeks later after being utterly shamed, they handed out “grades” for each clubs trade period. They gave North an -A (they missed out on Gaff but signed 3 other jets in Hall, Polec and Pittard).

They gave Richmond a B (for signing the most valuable free agent on the market).

Latest rumour on the grapevine and pray it's not true, especially after today's game:

Carlton want Butler for..............Kennedy ......in a straight swap no less....... :help

I would take that. Kennedy in a good team has plenty to offer. Potentially an upgrade on  Broad type. We have enough small forwards to last a decade. Might as well get something.

Don't care about losing Butler but Kennedy's a spud and has already been in a good team at GWS where he was also a spud.... :shh

THREE PLAYERS TIGERS RECRUITERS ARE WATCHING

Jon Ralph
Herald-Sun
9 July 2019

Paddy Ryder

Out of favour at Port Adelaide, would the Tigers look at trying to squeeze Ryder into their mix? Despite his struggles this year, he still demands respect as a forward and can hold his own against most opposition ruckmen. He will be 32 at the start of next season but could be worth the risk.

Ryan Abbott

Currently behind Rhys Stanley, Darcy Fort and Zac Smith in the pecking order, the mature age ruckman could be looking around for more opportunity. He has shown he is clearly too good for VFL level and could be the perfect low risk back up for Nankervis.

Griffin Logue

Still without a contract for next year at the Dockers, plenty of rival clubs would love to drop Logue into their backline. With Alex Pearce’s injury, the former first round draft pick has shown he is capable of holding down a key defensive post. While Alex Rance is set to return next year, there is always room for another quality defender.

Ryder - don't mind it.  Might depend how Chol goes for the rest of the year.  If Chol stands up, there is no need for Ryder.

Abbott - anyone behind Zac Smith in the pecking order will be behind Soldo (and I'm not Soldo's number one fan).  I reckon it's time to go for an 18yo development ruckman in the draft/rookie draft this year

Logue - key defenders are what we should be chasing.  In saying that, at 193cm, not sure he is any more of a key defender than Grimes and Broad.  If we go mature key defender, I would be looking at a 197cm+ key defender.

Logue would be a great get....been set back by injuries but the kid can play......Abbott maybe if he's dirt cheap and we pee off Slomo...but he'd most likely find himself in the same position in the pecking order here that he is at Geelong.......Ryder can stuff right off....hopefully the rise of The Mighty Mabs has changed our priorities.... :shh

Can't see us being as player for Logue if the rumours regarding Cerra are on the money.

Freo fans would go into meltdown if we got both of them :lol Just the thought of it gives me shivers.

If were chasing a ruck I'd rather go for Sean Darcy. Clearly behind Sandi and Lobb at Freo. Big unit and probably cheap.

KPD and big mids should be a priority next trade period IMO

EDIT: Lobb, not Long. Autocorrect...

Agree but would be keen to grab a project ruck in the ND or RD

The only rumour about Cerra stems from a poster here

Swans recruiters watching Butler according to the Herald-Sun.

Dan Butler

With Daniel Menzel yet to consistently fire at the Swans, more small forward depth could be on the club’s radar. Having been in and out of the Tigers side throughout the past two years, Dan Butler could be the perfect fit. He booted 30 goals in Richmond’s premiership year.
