everyones duds are worth something except ours lol
We have nothing to bargain with even if we wanted to play hard ball as they are out of contract, playing VFL and other clubs know we want to clear some TPP space. But as I said in another thread, we're playing the long game by putting each player's interests first. It won't surprise me if this time next year we're bringing in another free agent who chooses us based on our club culture.

Just curious. Of all the players who have swapped clubs would we want any of them in a black and yellow jumper?
Ignoring that we have no TPP space to move, if Brad Crouch swaps clubs then he would be the only one as another ballwinning inside mid wouldn't go astray. We're not reliant on clearances to win games but, as the GF showed, if we ever dominate winning the clearances then we totally smash opposition teams.

The answer to other players who have swapped clubs is a simple NO!

But you cannot consistently win both clearances and the next contest. Our plan is not to just concede the clearance more to make sure there is pressure on the clearance. That way it is a hack kick or handball and then we go to work on pressure to achieve a turnover. And because our guys are in pressure mode it is a quick flick to all put run attack.
I'm not disagreeing with that but as a team we need to keep on evolving to stay on top. Look at our deficiencies no matter how minor they appear and try to address them as we're going to have a big target on our back again next year as we did in 2018. You can already see some opposition clubs planning to copycat us with their trading. They are also going to spend the next 6-12 months trying to pick us apart.

Putting high amounts on pressure at clearances doesn't mean we can't develop tactics to win more clearances without weakening the defensive team pressure we're famous for. In the Granny, we destroyed the Giants around the ball after 1/4 time. We did the same to Geelong and Brisbane after half-time in those finals. Richmond being capable of winning the ball both at the source and on the turnover would have been the most frightening thing to see for opposition clubs watching. We conceded just 8 goals combined after half-time during the finals while kicking around 25 ourselves. That's scary for non-Richmond supporters.

Apparently Daniher won't be going to the Swans as talks have broken down between Essendon and Sydney according to reports.

What a basketcase Essendon is. Forcing players to stay against their will. But what do you expect from a club that deludedly believes it's top 4 material and still thinks its drug saga was a conspiracy and not their fault ::). Be hilarious if Daniher walks as a free agent next year. They're not going to get two top 10 picks as compo.

 :lol :lol :lol :lol

Essendon completely stuffed themselves. Apparently the Danniher family approached them and asked them to get it done.

Should be fun watching them haggle over 2/3rd rounders next year. Pick 5&9 was monstrous overs as far as I’m concerned. Love this!

Zak Jones a done deal to St Kilda. The Saints sound like they've coughed up a bit, but they also get 56 back

Carlton isn't even in the queue. So no Papley nor Martin and they ignored Butler thinking they were a certainty to get the first two  :wallywink.
