Caatagna & Short out before Bolton ...wouldn't drop Rioli because he usually lifts for finals and although he was still pretty oridinary on blance, he started to show signs of finding form last match...in fact according to OTC he tops the list of players who improve in finals, lifting his oiuput by 97%....mind you they also said Prestia plays worse in finals(I'd say last year brought that down)...and Clangerfield is one the worst finals chokers, but we already knew that... :shh

Interesting to note was that our forwrd pressure last week was the worst all year and we only laid one tackle in the forward 50 all game... :shh :shh

Short maybe, but I can't agree with Castagna.

Despite his skill fluffs in front of goal he remains a key player for me. Manic attack on the ball, quick on the ground, good in the air, and usually hits the scoreboard albeit not often enough.

Automatic selection for me!

Can't understand were this notion comes Soldo and Nank can't play together.Soldo takes rucking duties and Nank second ruck mobile around the ground he is no slouch and gets involved.

Agree with this. I thought Nank actually looked quite mobile/agile in the VFL match which would indicate he's put the groin issues behind him.

Still, I think our future is going to be:
- CCJ 1st ruck / resting forward
- Chol 2nd ruck / forward
- Balta backup ruck / wing

Interesting player that isn't getting much attention.. Baker has come in and done well in the backline. Hit form at the right time and looks set to play his first final

Bakes is a ripper. Can now play all 3 lines too.

hmm wont happen but for me id go with the following

Grimes - Astbury - Vlastuin. For me Balta plays on one of the kpfs.Give the kid the job of taking one of them out of the game.He just gives us the extra height and size we lack back there not to mention flexability.

Houli - Balta - Broad.  No panic merchant squib in Short. There are other options within the team  as well.

Ross - Martin - Pickett. Ross over squib it Ellis every day of the week.Kid showed he is ready to come back.  Picket over Caddy on a wing.

Nankervis - Cotchin - Prestia.  Nankervis and Martin are very similar type and size  of ruckmen Nank will make Martin accountable around the ground and give us virtually an extra big bodied mid when the ball hits the ground.

Edwards - Riewoldt - Lambert. Sorry no Rioli he has been poor the last 4 games and id prefer to give Chol a decent go in the dry and back up nankervis.

Castagna - Lynch - Chol. as stated chol for soldo and we have plenty of options to go smaller if we wish to do so during the game.

Caddy - Graham - Baker - Bolton.

Ins Ross Pickett, Chol, Nankervis
Out Ellis, Short, Rioli, Soldo.
