It looks like our former coach Danny "Spud" Frawley has been killed in a single vehicle car crash near Ballarat.

RIP Danny.

Condolences to the Frawley family.

Friend of mine is a journalist who was on the scene, there will be further details released that paint a clearer picture. I’m pretty shaken by it personally.

RIP DF.

Think he has a wife and 3 daughters?

RIP Danny. Always a good laugh. I really hope it was an accident but sometimes the ones that laugh hardest on the outside are struggling on the inside, a la Robin Williams.

A very funny bloke who knew how to take the pee out of himself and others but at the same time a highly emotional bloke from the old school that wasn’t afraid to show those emotions.

A champion of men’s health too with his “no man should ever walk alone” radio show.

As a player, a solid full back, that did pretty well against some of the greatest forwards of all time.

As a coach he did a pretty good job with a bunch of hacks and couple of champs until it went pear shaped.
All my love and condolences to his family.
The club that keeps giving.

Let's hope it was an accident.

Whatever happened, it’s an incredibly sad time for the football world
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.
