Dow trained away from the main group with Short, Lambert and Graham. I was told the Club sees him becoming a transition mid so they are working on improving his endurance. He was doing a stack of shuttles and 80m repeats with Short. It's not about sprinting but being able to get from contest to contest to contest. Something we missed with Lambert and Edwards missing a lot of footy this year.

Here's a couple of Dow from today:

Our old mate WAT was a believer that they shouldn’t look at the footy when kicking it

“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

No wonder Pendlebury never made it then.

Put into the middle for the practice match and got a fair bit of footy by the looks of it.

How did we all see Dow's game?
Any chance for round 1?

Ok thanks.

Hope it’s not too bad. He was solid before going off. Won a few clearances.

Not a medical doctor but the way Dow's knee bent inwards when Coniglio fell into his leg would suggest a medial. Touchwood  there was no twisting motion as well and Dow's ACL is okay  :pray. Dow was awkwardly balanced adjusting to the ball slipping out of the pile on of bodies on the ground and his left foot got stuck underneath as Coniglio fell into his leg.
