Dunno what’s happened to Dow. I thought in the afl games he’d played previously as well as in the vfl that he was actually one of our young mids who would step up and be a good senior player for us. But the last few games he’s played have been very very poor. Starting to think he may not make it either.

Hmm would say he has good hands but am asking does he have any other redeeming feature.

Thought he got pushed off the ball too easily and for me still lacks size and strength

Dow can be a bit of a forgotten man at times. What did we all think of his game today?

15 disposals (10k, 5h, 5c, 10u, 66.7% eff.)
4 marks
3 tackles
3 clearances
6 inside 50s
2 intercepts
346 metres gained
1 free for
5 score involvements
1 goal assist
1 goal
73% game time

Needs to bring that consistently

Coming back into the side is Thomson Dow, who has been recalled for his first senior appearance of the year.

The 21-year-old has been a standout in his five VFL outings this season, averaging 24 disposals, seven clearances and three tackles per game.

Hopeless Footballer just like his brother

Would delist him at seasons end.

Currently a member of the Roupies, and employed by the great man Roup.

He didn’t.

I don’t think he has what it takes. He’s not even half as good as RCD.

I don’t see anything about him I can see building upon.

The club that keeps giving.

I'd give him another game next week with the hope he gets up with the pace of the game  :-\

And putting to one side the pace of the game he lacks pace. And when you play a fast attacking game like we do you need to either have some pace or be able to navigate through the pace of the game, sadly last night he did or had neither

He also needs to attack contests which he didn't do again last night

Play him in the middle. It cannot be any worse then the current line-up.

He actually did play in the middle a fair bit and was found wanting, looked lost

Exactly this. You either need to be fast like prime Dangerfield, dusty and can break out with acceleration or be quick in mind like Pendlebury or Neale. I think Dow has the talent to be an afl footballer but I don’t think it’s at the centre bounce
