Was he the first of the rioli's?

So what are his excuses this week.

Why would he need an excuse ?
It was standard

1st quarter = 4 touches
2nd quarter = 1 touch
3rd quarter = 4 touches
4th quarter = zero

Time on ground 76 percent

It’s normal for him to completely vanish for two quarters .. it’s just a matter of what happens in the other two

Not surprisingly, Maurice's best first half in his career. Not just the run down tackle and then the F50 smother that set up goals. He's been noticeably involved in general play and not gone missing for long patches. Next step is to now strongly play out the full 4 quarters in the second half.

The point in those clips being that it isn’t the possession in either case which was spectacular. He’s the only one that has that level of defensive intensity which is why we have to persist with him.
"The money might have been better. But, at the end of the day, Richmond showed faith in me. It's only fair that now we're 18th on the ladder, I show the faith back in the club and do everything I can to put them in front. In the end, I'm stoked I made the decision to stay. I f***ing love this club”

If you watch the few seconds before the chase down, you can verrrry clearly see him read the play, lower his eyes and pretty much smash the pedal before the ball is even kicked to the WCE player.

Super impressive vision and play reading.

Wish they'd extend the highlight just 2-3 seconds to show that.

Clearly a better player when he plays up and down the ground and uses his speed.

Deserves every bit of praise he will receive this week.

Those two efforts are possibly the best things I’ve seen post dynasty.
