Geelong.  Do they not have a salary cap.  If they get Crouch, Cameron, Higgins they will win it next year you'd think.
It annoys me.

Next minute wants 3 of:
2020 1st pick
2021 1st pick
Harris Andrews
Charlie Cameron
Lachie Neale
:lol

Dodoro at it again, this time with Brisbane over Daniher.

... sources said a similar collection of bold targets were put across the Lions’ desk despite Daniher’s restricted free agency status.

https://www.sen.com.au/news/2020/10/15/early-daniher-discussions-far-from-smooth-between-bombers-and-lions/
What's he worth? Bombers would probably pay him more than Brisbane so there's surely a chance they'll try to match/force a trade.
For someone who hasn't had a proper season since 2017 and played just 15 games in the past 3 years because his body continually breaks down, I wouldn't pay more than a 3rd rounder for Daniher.

He's a restricted free agent who wants out of his club for the second year in a row. If Essendon want to keep him for another year and waste a spot on their list then that's their problem. Brisbane hold the upper hand here. Dodoro, of course, is asking the Earth again because he had a chance last year to get a top 10 pick plus something else for Daniher and he knocked it back  :wallywink.

If Essendon are offered one of Brisbane's late first rounders (#18 or #19) or they gain a second rounder (early #20s) in compo they should take it and stop wasting everyone's time. The latter would still be a joke given we received just a 3rd rounder in compo for a dual-premiership player who never missed a game in B.Ellis.

Funniest thing will be the deal the refused with Sydney last year :D

According to Tom Browne on Ch7:

* Clubs won't know the CBA and list sizes by the trade period. So that will affect trades.

* Collingwood showing interest in Zac Merrett but Essendon are saying they won't trade him.

That can't be possible ridiculous if that's the case how long they had to work it out clowns.

Mitch Cleary on ABC radio was asked just now if Richmond would seek another ruckman with Soldo out for a year?

Cleary replied that Richmond have the suspended Coleman-Jones and we rate him highly. But they probably do need another ruckman. Will they be interested in someone like Peter Wright? Suns will pay some of his salary to get him off their books.

Peter Wright doesn't want to ruck that's the issue.Better get a 1 year rookie like Abbott who got delisted from saints for a backup or a wafl or sanfl prospect.

Given that we had to play a SF this series CCJ will only miss 3-4 games of 2021.

Nank ruck.

Chol backup.

Balta/Astbury as 2nd ruck to give Nank a chop out.

Then CCJ is back after 3 weeks.

No need to make a big trade target out of it considering all the above. Get a DFA/rookie etc.

Not the worst idea if we can get him on the relative cheap (and sort out his "issues")...can't see it happening though and would be surprised if it's even true (if it is it might be a clue as to whether we plan on keeping CCJ or not):

Sam McClure says GWS will match the bid to try and force Geelong to hand over two first round picks for Cameron.

They have late first rounders anyway so it will be quite straight forward.

BRAD CROUCH (Free agent)

He’s seemed set to leave Adelaide for some time - the Crows will be happy to let him walk if he’s going to sign a large enough deal that they’ll get a first-round compensation pick, because that would be Pick 2. But it’s unclear exactly where he’ll go. Geelong has been the leading contender but now they’re in line to get Jeremy Cameron as well as Shaun Higgins, and potentially Isaac Smith as a free agent. They surely can’t all fit into the Cats’ salary cap which could leave Crouch with one less option. The early morning incident where he and teammate Tyson Stengle were caught with cocaine wasn’t ideal timing either. Don’t count out Port Adelaide, and Richmond was named as a dark horse contender a few weeks ago, though they wouldn’t be paying as much. Geelong still makes the most sense, especially if they miss out on one of the other players they’ve been linked to, or trade out players and gain some cap room in the Cameron deal.

That Big Footy snout mentioned Pickett for Blakely a couple of weeks ago....would rather use Pickett to help us get Hogan if those are the only options...Blakely's even worse than Will Brodie..... :shh
