7 July 2020The pre-agent is a player who will become a free agent in another year, thus ticking over from seven to eight years of service and being able to leave and join a rival.
This year is different in most ways, but COVID-19's impact won't stop clubs from hunting players who are only a year away from free agency eligibility.
