New club enters the race for premiership Tiger Jack Graham

By SEN
10 September 2020

Carlton is reportedly showing interest in Richmond midfielder Jack Graham.

According to AFL Media’s Mark McGowan, the Blues are keeping tabs on Graham who falls out of contract at the end of the season.

Essendon and Adelaide have also been linked to the premiership Tiger.

Graham has found form after being dropped twice at the start of the season.

Since returning to the side in Round 12, the 22-year-old is averaging a tick over 18 disposals, four tackles and three clearances per match.

Graham was part of Richmond’s 2017 premiership side but missed out on last year’s flag because of a shoulder injury.

Yep. Dont give any players to our key rivals. Especially not players like Jack Graham.

Especially not to Carlton who bent us over for Yarran and Hamspud. We got one over them with Grigg/Collins but still owe them a goodie.

Premiership player. Would their second pick (26 before any slides) do the trick?

Prefer to keep him at the Tigers who incidentally are one of the clubs keen on his services :snidegrin

Gold Coast will listen to offers for Peter Wright during the trade period, knowing they will likely have to pay a portion of his salary cap if he moves clubs.

Wright has two more years on a contract foxfooty.com.au understands is worth more than $500,000 per season.

It’s almost certain a rival club would refuse to foot the half-a-million dollar bill, but they could get him for a fraction of the price.

The Suns are open to trading the 24-year-old if he declares he would like to explore opportunities elsewhere.

Wright has slipped back in the pecking order in 2020 and hasn’t featured in Stuart Dew’s best 22 at all.

Victorian clubs have long believed he will be gettable in November’s trade period.

Essendon and Collingwood have told agents they would like another big man, while Richmond may need to look for a Toby Nankervis replacement if he doesn’t re-sign.

Wright, who is 203cm tall, has booted 85 goals in 66 games for the Suns since he was selected with Pick 8 in the 2014 National Draft.

Rival clubs see him more as a forward who can pinch-hit in the ruck rather than the other way around.

Out: Broad (Gold Coast), CCJ (GWS), Graham (Adel), Pickett (Freo) is what I have heard.  My guess is Nank will stay if CCJ goes.

We need to clear cap space to fit in Baker, Chol, Soldo, Aarts off the rookie list and on to the main list.

Graham isn’t going anywhere, expect an announcement as soon as next week.

Jack Graham should get a 2 or 3 year deal imho. Good honest player. Courage runs hard tackles hard plays for the team. A definate keep imo.
