Higgins really frustrates me. He is worse with his kicking and decision making than castagna imo.
And Castagna chases harder too.
I know Higgins has had a very interrupted development, but still. Hopefully he can improve.

Did anyone mention the umpiring last night.  I am stunned we won by so much as the umpiring was very lop sided.
They must have got 6 - 50 metre penalties awarded to them.

To be fair we did a benefit from a couple of dodgy calls at crucial times as well....but on the whole Brisbane got the rub.... :shh

Yup think we’ve done well over the past 2 weeks.

Seem to be getting away with fair few pushes in the back from jack, lynch and chol when the balls getting launched into 50.

Brisbane can beat Richmond when it counts: Callum Ah Chee (News)

Brisbane can beat Richmond when it counts despite decade of Tiger dominance

A big Richmond win on Tuesday night had some questioning Brisbane’s premiership credentials after 11 straight years of losses to Richmond. But Lions midfielder Callum Ah Chee said there was not psychological hold.

BRISBANE midfielder Callum Ah Chee is adamant Richmond don’t have a psychological hold on the Lions despite the Tigers’ ongoing dominance of the Queenslanders.

The Tigers added to an 11- year winning streak against the Lions, with their latest success over Brisbane on Tuesday night at Metricon Stadium.

Richmond has lost just once to Brisbane in their past 20 encounters, including 14 wins in a row against a team considered one of their premiership rivals.

The Lions booted themselves out of Tuesday’s game, kicking 4.17 and Ah Chee said that was the concern, not the Tigers’ continued success over them.

“Most of the blokes haven’t been playing since 2009 (when Brisbane last beat Richmond),” Ah Chee said.

“I don’t think that was much of a problem. I think we actually played some pretty good footy, we just needed to finish our work.

“Obviously they (the Tigers) are a fantastic team, but if you look at the (statistics), if we finished our work we’re actually pretty close to having a close game with them.”

AFL Report Card: Round 10

Foxsports
8 August 2020

RICHMOND

We might have already gotten past the part of the season where the Tigers were vulnerable. They’ve now produced two consecutive 41-point wins over top eight contenders, this time taking advantage of a woefully inaccurate Brisbane. The reigning premiers have now won five of their last six matches and are now getting to the point where their young players, who were forced to fill in for veteran stars, are arguably claiming those spots permanently.

In the votes

Jeez, this Dustin Martin bloke goes alright, hey? Just an easy 24 disposals, 604 metres gained, three goal assists, nine inside 50s and ten score involvements for the Brownlow superstar. He was helped by the Tigers’ key forward, Tom Lynch and Jack Riewoldt, combining for seven goals in easily their best combined performance of the year. Meanwhile Shai Bolton (24 disposals, six clearances) was fantastic and Jake Aarts (two goals) keeps getting better.

Room for improvement

This was a great win on the scoreboard, but if the Tigers are smart, they won’t get lulled into thinking they’re really seven goals better than the Lions. The key metrics were all pretty even – Richmond won the inside 50s by four and contested possessions by six, but lost the clearances by nine. While they definitely deserved the four points, they were helped by Brisbane kicking themselves out of the game early.

Grade
