When you're always on the back foot having to start attacks from defence it tires you out. We had no more juice in the last.

Boys tried their best. Port are the real deal this year. Although seems like they stepped up to the occasion. We are still missing so many crucial players. Prestia cotch shed houli and nank. I would have loved to win tonight. But a loss isn't the worst thing. Keeps us in check and keeps us hungry. Still many games to go, we are travelling very well

Yes reckon all those players you mention play today we win

But still disappointed with a number of blokes, very poor todsy
Agreed many players went missing and we still had a ripping game. A gutsy effort. So many inexperienced players. Egg a good example. Hasnt earnt the trust yet

22 frees to 11 when you have the same amount of tackles says a fair bit too.

Probably the game of the year to be honest.  They just wanted it that bit more plus the crowd really helped them.   I'm really proud of the boys.
10 day break and we will welcome back Cotch, Houli and Nank.

Only positives are we didn't lose a chunk of % and no injuries touchwood.

Boy do we need Cotch, Sheds & Prestia back in the midfield if we want to win it again.

Slomo ultimately cost us that quarter and match, just dreadful tap work......bloke is utterly useless... :shh

WP's whipping egg was poor but the far more experienced Broad was even worse...Grimes it has to be said had a rare shocker too....in fact it was probably the worst performance from our backline for some time...... :shh :shh

Broady & Grimes were both really fumbly and panicky tonight.  Their guns played well ours didn't.

Let's see how they go when Cotch, Houli, Prestia, Nank, Edward's, Astbury are back in the finals.

I agree...
That was a cracking game for 3 quarters.

We had it all against us including the umps but as someone said, they wanted it more than us in the end.

I think we had 3 free kicks in the second half.

Egg was beyond poor. He was terrified all game. A complete liability.

He is way too soft for finals-like footy.

Egg's played less than 10 games- what's Broad's excuse...or Rioli's for that matter? :shh

They don’t have any.

Rioli shouldn’t be in the seniors.

Just saying that Egg was like diabolically bad.

Great game to watch, best contest of the year.
Our backs had a hard night due to our mids being blown away. Egg was found wanting in the heat and i am not surprised. Good experience for him however.
Very disappointed in Lynch tonight. Was absolutely pathetic!
We lost the game due to their midfield dominance around the contest.
Not sure why Rioli is copping it, was very good tonight and worked very hard to provide an option on the wing...George on the other hand :whistle
With our outs, a good game from the boys.

I counted no fewer than 9 players who had absolute shockers...that's literally half the onfield side ...we did alright all things considered... :shh
