If a complete shyte truck like Lamington Dow can get 13 games in a row - going back to last year - then surely Ryan or any other kid for that matter can be afforded more than just a couple.. :shh

Let’s not set a standard through Tommy Dow….
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Should have played all year, madness we played Naismith for a few games instead.

laughable some on here, and the exceptional match committee we currently have preferred Naismith over Ryan.

May or may not make it but he plays the year. Grew in confidence as the game went on.

Currently a member of the Roupies, and employed by the great man Roup.

Naismith was bought in to cover Nank not to play in tandem with him but we did it anyway...and even that first game when he was covering Nank he was still stuffing useless... :shh

No reason Sampson shouldn't make it - people lack patience with young rucks, most aren't prodigies like Gawn and even he didn't really come on until he was Ryan's age.....he'll probably never be a bullying hulk but he doesn't need to be and it would only slow him down - has the height, leap,  agiltiy and tap skills....will  be up & down until Nank leaves/is dropped and he assumes the #1 mantle....already plays better when Nank's not there and he's the main guy.... :shh :shh

Was better yes but a ruck marking ball on his chest multiple times doesn’t happen in under 13’s let alone AFL level….

Can argue whether it was intentional or not but it's actually the smart thing to do when it's wet....also bear in mind he's generally been at his poorest in those conditions up until last night so that's another tick in his favour.... :shh

Agree but that is largely a confidence thing.

Doesnt look to be a forwards arse hole. Imo we need to replace Colina, OH-B Naismith and Ryan.

If we are to play him give him a run in the ruck and rest Nankervis. Lets see if he can offer enough in that role.

Personally with the injury to Lefau  id like to see them play all of Bauer, Blight, Grey and Kosichitzke

Maybe our hand is forced and we now play Balta, Bauer and Grey forward and partner Miller with Blight and Kosi.  Ruck Ryan.
