I like him, did well in the ruck and will start clunking those marks one day.

No good. Sideshow Bob mark 2.
Actually as bad as Vickery was he at least could mark the footy or give a great right cross to the face of opposing ruck.

I don’t see a thing about this kid that I can think he could be anything decent in the future.

There’s not one footy attribute that I can name.

He just doesn’t have it at the moment.

I can see both sides to this argument.
After a great cameo against the Crows, he’s slowly gone down the gurgler confidence wise.

“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Jack Riewoldt expressed confidence that Ryan - who has played five games - will develop into a key position player.

“Samson has talent and is diligent and an extremely hard worker,” Riewoldt said.

“We need to keep playing him. If he is going to be a very good player going forward, he needs to cut his teeth at AFL level.”

Completely agree.

When he’s in the ruck, he actually taps it to our players advantage, unlike our skipper.

Not so good in the wet so far in his 3 or 4 game career as his marking is his strength, ok in the ruck but will improve with experience

I noticed this clearly too.

He actually looks at there they are, which way they're moving and tries to tap it to their friggin advantage.

Amazing.

As much as it might be painful we just have to keep playing him now. Hopefully at some stage he can take a mark or two...

I think the Adelaide game has been the only dry game he has played.

Wet or dry he is physically underwhelming. And people talk about JR being old and slow but fmd he is a greyhound compared to this kid atm.
Just don't see it him being a very good fwd. Needs to work on his ruck craft thats where he could become a very good player.
