Everyone loved push up,, yet criticize Mansell, Mansell has more to offer than push up ever did.  Only of every player played with his attitude

Agreed.

Much better player. Faster, tougher and more effective around the goals.

Better tackler by a mile.

Push up actually kicked goals and could get some serious air! He’s also strong enough to waterboard Richo. I actually do think what would have happened if he was played as a forward from game 1

I loved push up - he was one of my favourites in challenging times .

However he was a mature pick up - 23 years old when he made his debut.

And the two seasons he kicked over 20 goals , Jake was in his late 20s .

I think Mansell has some similar traits to King - it’s definitely not Mansell’s job to be carrying the forward line .

I also really liked push up when he was a forward. Quick and very strong in the air for a guy his size. don’t remember his kicking for goal or even field kicking being too shabby either.

Agree.
Push up and Mansell are a great reflection of where a list is at.
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Absolutely deserves the contract extension. Adem loves him and the way he plays his role. Truth is if more of our players played the game like Mansell, we would not be second last.
