... Carlton would be so keen to spend a reported $750,000 per season in luring Cerra back to Melbourne, who has yet to prove himself as an elite footballer.

“I’m staggered by the money that’s on offer to him,” Whateley said on SEN’s Crunch Time.

“There is surely a rite of passage where there’s an interim contract of around $400,000.

Cripps $1mil
McKay $900k
Williams $850k  :rollin :rollin :rollin
Saad $650k  :rollin
Martin $600k  :rollin :rollin :rollin
McGovern $600k  :rollin :rollin :rollin :rollin
Walsh 600k
C Curnow $500k

How many more players can they offer to pay the big bucks?

Are the baggers up to there old tricks

If Cerra chooses the scumbaggers then he was never a true Richmond supporter... :shh

Fremantle chief executive Simon Garlick says his club is “really comfortable” with where contract negotiations sit with young gun on-baller Adam Cerra.

North Melbourne is offering the Giants' Josh Kelly $8.8m over 8 years to move to Arden St.

Doesn't take a genius to figure all that out.

Only real question is do we trade George?

Didn't George just re sign for 2 or 3 years.
Cotchin & Houli I can see both retiring.
Chol can go.  No issue there.
I would keep Caddy, dont know why he is not getting a game.

Agree re: Caddy not getting a game although I'm happy to trade him. Club is finished with him. But I'd have preferred him vs Saints instead of Ryan given the weather. At least the prick has a crack.

Sydney and “a big Melbourne club” are among clubs circling out-of-contract Western Bulldogs midfielder Patrick Lipinski.

Bulldogs teammate Ed Richards was gaining trade market attention, with North Melbourne and Brisbane “very interested” in the rebounding defender/wingman.

Pat Lipinski would be a good pick up, silky foot skills
Caddy plays a role and is a big body which is what we need at the moment as Cotch can’t do it all
In short bursts maybe off the forward flank it would be to get him into the packs

Caddy is not the answer.

Wouldn’t mind Lipinski at a reasonable price.

Yes. You don't often get a chance to get these picks.  Use them.

Id keep our picks and forget about Cerra unless its for a future 1st and McIntosh or Pickett.
