That’s hands down the worst half of footy we’ve played in 5 years. I’d say that we need to make changes, but to be honest, the cupboard is extremely bare. Bolton and Nank the only guys who had a crack. We seriously need to find some tough mids as our best guys are nearly done.

Yes agree there's nothing in the 2s except a ruck

Scoreline similar to Melbourne game.

Concerning.

Are we figured out/done? Struggling to maintain pressure for 4 quarters week in week out?

The diehard in me wants to believe that we identified Dees and Cats as contenders so we tried our game plan on them for 1Q and then threw the game to give them a false sense of security for the business end of the season...

That's insane. Effectively 20 shots at goal.

More stats (via Fox Footy):

2.2-14 to 13.8-86 after half-time.

We kicked just one goal (1.1) after the 4 minute mark of the 3rd quarter.

Richmond
                                      Q1      Q2-4
Contested possessions:    +5       -38
Disposals efficiency:       81%      63%
Scores from turnovers:    +18      -34

Geelong:

They kicked 8.1 transitioning from D50 .... ( i.e. 8 goals out of our forward line ).

4 of those goals were from kick-ins and going coast to coast.

3rd quarter contested possessions:   +23
3rd quarter scores per Inside 50:      50% ......... so every second time the Cats went inside F50 they scored.

I’m not going to watch the replay of this game.

It was bad enough seeing Rohan standing by himself inside 50 once let alone 6 times.

I don’t want to ever see that again.  :pullhair

Heads dropped and very little effort once the game was gone. Didn't like seeing that.

Wait and see I reckon. We had virtually a starting midfield watching from the stands last night, plus our most important defender. We'll be better.

Our form has been super patchy this year. The contrast between our second half v the dogs last week compared to our second half v the cats last night was astronomical. Like two completely different teams. It’s hard to draw conclusions. Are we an aging team that is declining and only capable of flashes of our old self, or are we just getting through the season and leaving some gas in the tank for the business end? I hope it’s the latter. Time will tell.

Dusty is not having the output he normally does. I feel he goes missing in games for large chunks.
