More likely to bundle some those picks for a higher pick or swap for a pick next year

this is not the thread for it but anyway.

I agree i think we are in the box seat for WB pick 17. I also think we are one of the few clubs in a position to get Collingwoods 2022 first rounder

I think 38 40 44 can get the dogs done

26 or 28 and next years second for Collingwoods 2022 first. 26  is a high enough pick for Collingwood to split with other clubs for Daicos.

We end up with 7, 15, 17, 26 or 28, 39 and bank two first rounders for next year.

Parker had 10 disposals (6k, 4h), 4 tackles, 5 inside 50s, 4 frees against and kicked one point.

Parker is hopeless.

MP isn’t far behind but another year wouldn’t hurt.

Pickett was the only player on our list who actually stuck a tackle. Until we make others more accountable for this stat, he has to stay.
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Hard disagree. A lot of the time goes to bump rather than go for the ball in dispute or tackle the player in possession instead.

Top 3 Tiger tacklers for 2021(they only count if they stick):
Graham 121
Pickett 62
Baker 61

Do they still count them if they stick the tackle but the opponent still gets his arms free and disposed of it? I don’t think picketts tackling which at best is slightly better than those around him makes up for his disposal. Now jack graham, that’s a lad who is an elite tackler.

Pickett is a decent tackler, but he's even better at giving away unnecessary frees.

He's a handy depth player for mine. Not best 22 when we have a healthy list.

Pickett should be traded this week imho. Its best for him to go back to WA and its best for us to open up another list spot. Parker Id delist straight out delist.

Unfortunately the club just re-signed him for another year so we can't delist him.... :shh

No. Tackles only count if there is a clanger disposal, ineffective disposal, or no disposal.

Richmond’s mid-season recruit, Matthew Parker, will remain at the Club for the 2022 season.

Richmond General Manager- Football Talent, Blair Hartley, said Parker thoroughly deserved the extension.

“Matt did not put a foot wrong after he joined us mid-year, as demonstrated by his quick elevation to the senior team,” he said.

“We are excited to be able to keep him around for 2022 and look forward to seeing a lot more of him in Richmond colours.

“It is a credit to the work he has done behind the scenes to get himself back in a position to tackle a full AFL season ahead.”
