Lets say we do nothing but get Tarrant and we get Chol compensation AROUND 39 and lets be conservative realistic  38 for CC-J.

Would we be willing to use any of the following picks on Parker

7, 15, 26,28,38,39,40,44. If it's a choice between useing one of those picks or keeping parker then i want the pick.

That is eight picks plus tarrant someone has to make way if we are dinkum about useing them all.

Just not skilled enough and another role player in a long list of role players.

Agreed Claw
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Hard but true.

However if you want 8 picks in the ND....how many of them can play a role now when we need them?

More likely to bundle some those picks for a higher pick or swap for a pick next year

There are a couple of clubs that need points for father and sons. I am sure we could bundle some of the later ones up for a lower pick or next year as you say.

Depends on what we get for Chol and CCJ.
You'd be hoping for:
50 for Chol, 3rd rounder with a slip from bids
38 for CCJ, if North play nice

If that's the case then then I would be trading all of 38, 40, 44 & 50 to WB for #17. Hit the draft with 7, 15, 17, 26, 28.

Or

Throw in #28 also to Collingwood for 2022 1st (backing them in to finish bottom 6) and Brayden Sier who they'll let go for pick 50.

Draft with 7, 15, 26. Bring in Sier for almost nothing. Then have 2 first rounders for 2022.

The fact we've so far only delisted Naish leads me to believe we're planning something -either trade or draft wise- and just waiting for other chips to fall... :shh

We’d be net losing 504 points with that trade, the equivalent to pick 36. Think we’d give 3 more of the 4 or trade up even higher than 17. All of those picks are essentially worth pick 8-9.

I'm sure we could tinker with it. Needs to be worth their while to bother, but also good enough that they won't do a similar deal with anyone else.

Initially I was thinking 28 + 40 + 44 which gives them about 250-300 but I'm just spit balling.

Matthew Parker New 1 Year Deal
« Reply #159 on: September 23, 2021, 10:54:45 AM »
LIFELINE EXTENDED FOR TIGER

RICHMOND mid-season draftee Matthew Parker has committed to a new one-year deal to remain at Punt Road in 2022.

The 25-year-old was plucked out of South Fremantle in June, having been delisted by St Kilda after a two-season stint last year.

Parker's agent, Anthony Van Der Wielen of Empire Sports Management, confirmed his client would soon ink a fresh contract to remain on the rookie list into next season.

Parker played the final six games of the season for the Tigers as a midfielder/half-forward.

The WA native returned to Perth at the end of Richmond's campaign and was given clearance to play for South Fremantle in the WAFL finals. After a quiet return against Claremont in week one of finals, Parker collected 26 disposals and 10 tackles in the Bulldogs' loss to Subiaco on Saturday.

His side will again face Claremont on Sunday for a place in the WAFL Grand Final against Subiaco.

Parker's signature will leave Richmond with seven players out of contract. Sydney Stack is expected to ink a new deal, but Derek Eggmolesse-Smith, Noah Cumberland and a trio of key backs – Bigoa Nuyon, Ryan Garthwaite and Ben Miller – all remain unsigned.

The Tigers have committed to bringing in North Melbourne veteran Robbie Tarrant on a two-year deal to replace the retiring David Astbury. - Mitch Cleary

Seems like an ugly game based on that scoreline.
