Where are we at?

6 and 4 with a % of 120.
I would’ve taken that before round 1 but we’ve looked middle of the road for most of this year.

I can see us making finals but I’m struggling to see a pathway beyond the first or second week.

What does everyone else think?
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Long season. I'm hoping Carlton figures that out and falls in a heap.

I think we are a chance for top 4 if we keep the lost relatively healthy and hungry. Lots of winnable games ahead of us for the year. But realistically I think we are a 1-2 finals game side at best. Our depth is about to be seriously tested with Lynch and Balta unavailable, Lambert possibly looking at another stint etc.

It’s all about health for us. Full list then we can win it all. 1 or 2 pieces missing and we’re no good

I think we should have one more win on the board .

20 points up against Carlton in the last quarter
25 up against St Kilda in the third
Played Adelaide at the wrong time .

We just need our best team on the park .

100% correct while we have momentum  injuries piling up to key players like last season we have a major impact.

Win next week and head into the bye at 7-4 and we’ll be very well placed. Reckon Balta and Lynch will be available first game after the bye too.

All things considered we are going OK

I don't buy into the "doom & gloom" over the first month of the season

IMHO it doesn't matter where we finish in the 8 we will give the big prize one helluva shake

And nothing will shake my belief on that  :thumbsup

Old list getting more injury prone by the year. We need to nurse our list to the finals and if we can put our best 22 on the park we can win it all

Ill add if two ir three of oyr young guys like Sonsie, Banks, Clarke or Brown can come on and give an extra spark we'll be right in it up to our eyeballs. Im also looking forward to who we take in the msd. We need a mature body, someone whose played against men to come in and give us a lift like Marlion has. Im on the Kantilla bandwagon. Hes an xfactor type player. Will be sensational or nothing but nows the time to take that chance.

TELL EM THEY’RE DREAMIN’ / Tigers’ quality

By Michael Gleeson
The Age

What we now know about Richmond is that after a shaky start they are back in the eight.

They have successfully re-introduced Dusty Martin. They have successfully fashioned Daniel Rioli into a creative half-back flanker when his career was drifting. They have brought in Robbie Tarrant and he had his best game yet for the Tigers on Saturday night.

They have found out that Maurice Rioli belongs at the level and is a serious talent.

They have re-confirmed they are a vastly better side with Dion Prestia back in and that Jack Riewoldt’s form in the first month was sustainable and he is having a very good year. He will need to for now Tom Lynch is out.

They have told us they can still play very good football and since losing to Melbourne, they have beaten up the sides they should beat up – West Coast, Collingwood, Hawthorn and now Essendon. But they have not yet told us how good they are.

Now Lynch looks like he is out for a while, Kane Lambert’s hip is giving him gyp and Noah Balta’s hamstring has been given a fair tear, we won’t get a true handle on how good they can be this year for a while.

They enter the bracket of games – Sydney away next Friday night, the bye, then Port, Carlton and Geelong all at the ’G – that should have been a real test of whether they have one more shot at the flag with this group. But now we will probably have to reserve judgment again, unless they get over all these sides with their key forward out and they fall back on their 2017 system of Jack and the smalls up forward.

Let’s not forget our last 4 opponents aren’t top. Yes I see Hawks and pies both just had good wins but still, they won’t be top 8 and west coast and Essendon have been shocking. So the best team we ha e beaten? Probably the dogs who have been up and down as much as any other team

Our leaders need to be accountable for their output.

It’s no coincidence our defensive structures fall down when we produce so many unforced errors continually when the game should be done and dusted.

Nankervis, Dusty, Cotchin, Vlastuin, Short, McIntosh and as usual Castagna we’re all terrible by hand and foot on Friday night.

What’s happened to their skills? (Castagna has never had any)

It’s really bad. Cotchin and Martin need to improve especially its really unprofessional and it’s killing us on turnover
The club that keeps giving.

We are currently 9th and have been robbed of 2 wins and about 5% points by the Tiger hating AFL and Umpires.  GAGF'd Gilligan and Scatty

Our leaders can't do it forever.  Maybe Matty Clake's poo trucks should be held to account.  Ryan, Ross, Parker, Aarts, Miller, RCD and Martyn are all busts
