Definitely not going again in 2022 myself I've had enough. Honestly when the club has clear discipline issues that are happening every week and the wrong players get selected so why should we bother? Unfortunately our club that we all love has become arrogantly stupid. Seriously stupid. If I was Brendan I would be having a proper fecking conversation with the whole group including Damien...

Fecking Rockstars. Unfortunately the season is likely done and we possibly won't win another game.

As for players like Aa and Ca they need to just do the club a favour and just resign tomorrow.. Deadset Frauds stealing members money. But sadly they will remain and get selected again.

I'm hoping to be there. At least it will save my furniture and especially the TV from any risk of putting a foot through it if we dish up more of the same arrogant and soft rubbish from the past two weeks or so :P.

Having said that I'm expecting the irony of the Club announcing 100k members this week and then a small crowd turning given our form or lack of it and that it is at Marvel which our supporters hate especially when we are forced to play a home game there. Maybe just a fraction more than the Suns game last year  :-\. Get ready for the usual pile on afterwards from the media and opposition supporters.

I'd love to be there but the 3.5 hour drive is prohibitive.
We really should try and fill the joint.  It's a must win game and we should be able to get 40k there.
Might just get the players up?

Forgot the Suns game was technically an 'away' game. Add the late notice by the AFL about the match time and venue and that's why we only got 9327.

We've only got 40k against Melbourne-based teams or Sydney with its old South Melbourne following.

Most of our Docklands home games against interstate teams achieve crowds in the 20,000s.

Actual 'home' games at Docklands:

R9, 2021 vs GWS           18,798     Won by 4
R5, 2019 vs Sydney       40,053     Won by 22
R15, 2018 vs Sydney     43,519     Won by 26
R17, 2017 vs Brisbane   28,188     Won by 31
R3, 2016 vs Adelaide     29,951     Lost by 36
R23, 2015 vs North       40,461     Won by 41 .... Brad Scott infamously 'resting' 13 Roos before the Elim Final.
R17, 2014 vs Port          21,483     Won by 20
R3, 2013 vs Bulldogs     44,045      Won by 67
R5, 2012 vs West Coast  28,464     Lost by 10

Playing Freo at Docklands:
R15, 2010                     25,707      Won by 19
R4, 2000                       23,578      Lost by 1

ps. While we've won most of our 'home' games there in recent years, we've lost our last 4 straight at Marvel.

These are just numbers.  Fans just need to turn up, who cares where it is.  Least you know you won't get wet

Why the hell would I turn up to this dump.  The players don't want to be there and play like it so why would the fans go?

Reminds me of that old commercial where the Richmond boys showed up in a supporters living room and said “if your not gonna show up why should we?” Thick was back in the TAC days.

On the way home from the game I swore I'd never go to another game that Aarts was playing in, but I'll probably end up going!!

Longmuir was hopeful Pearce would return for Friday night's crunch game against Richmond at Marvel Stadium after making steady improvement from a calf injury.

Forward/ruck Rory Lobb has been cleared of structural damage to the right shoulder he jolted against the Swans, with his pain and function improving.

Longmuir was wary of a Richmond team that could still compete with the best in the competition and score heavily.

Hardwick calls on Tiger Army for crucial Freo clash

By AAP
20 July 2022

Richmond coach Damien Hardwick has called on the Tiger Army to turn out in numbers for the clash with Fremantle after its official membership swelled past 100,000 for a fifth straight year.

Clinging to eighth spot on percentage, the Tigers host the fourth-placed Dockers in a rare 'home' fixture at Marvel Stadium on Friday night.

Hardwick was asked on Wednesday if fans will turn up to support Richmond in the important clash with Fremantle, which will be crucial in shaping both sides' finals prospects.

"I'd hope so," he said.

"They're seeing a side that's been incredibly proud over a long period of time and continues to give their best and play their best.

"Even last week, we played some incredible footy at various stages (in the upset loss to North Melbourne).

"We let ourselves down in other aspects but the fact of the matter is we had 67 inside-50s, we had 33 scoring shots and all those sorts of things I could reel out.

"We just didn't get the result but our fans know we come to play.

"They'd be disappointed, like we are, over the last couple of weeks in the close losses but we stick fat."

Richmond has a 3-7 record at Marvel Stadium in its last 10 trips to the venue, including a run of four consecutive defeats that includes losses to St Kilda and North Melbourne this season.

"It doesn't hold any fears for us," Hardwick said.

"Goalkicking-wise it might've been a little bit better on the weekend but we go there and any club will say the same, 'It's anytime, anywhere'.

"We've just got to make sure we play our very best footy against a very good side."
