Dusty and Graham should both come in at the expense of Castagna and Ross.
Emergency is a tough one, maybe falls to the unfortunate sonesie.
Same team as last time we played Brisbane but with grimes out and gibcus in.
Could think about dropping gibcus for a bit more run, but this team has been winning games so may as well stick with it.
Go tiges !

I agree that Ross makes way. Really impressed by his game against Essendon, but it's not his time to be dislodging Martin, Graham, and Edwards. Hate yo use a cliche, but he needs to keep building his 'body of work'.

Beat me to it

to bring in 2; you need 2 outs plus the sub.

that's why I suggested:
INS: Martin, Graham

OUTS: Gibcus, Ross or Sonsie, Castagna (sub)

who will take Cameron then? Has to be Broady or Floss you would think?

Currently a member of the Roupies, and employed by the great man Roup.

Agree with your changes but hate to think of Ross or Sonsie missing out.

That's finals I guess though.

Rioli to start. Shut him down well in our last match up. Broad next in line.

Balta to Daniher. Miller to Hipwood. Tarrant to McStay.

Dusty over Ross any day. Ross hasn’t convinced me he can dispose of it cleanly under real pressure yet. Dusty has more than enough runs on the board

Mock teams: Who's in for finals week one?

Sarah Black
afl.com.au
26 August 2022

RICHMOND

B: Nathan Broad, Noah Balta, Robbie Tarrant
HB: Liam Baker, Nick Vlastuin, Daniel Rioli
C: Marlion Pickett, Trent Cotchin, Kamdyn McIntosh
HF: Maurice Rioli jnr, Shai Bolton, Dustin Martin
F: Jack Riewoldt, Noah Cumberland, Tom Lynch
Foll: Toby Nankervis, Dion Prestia, Jayden Short
I/C: Shane Edwards, Ben Miller, Jack Ross, Jack Graham
Emerg: Ivan Soldo, Josh Gibcus, Jason Castagna, Tyler Sonsie

In: Dustin Martin, Jack Graham
Out: Tyler Sonsie, Josh Gibcus

UNAVAILABLE: Dylan Grimes (hamstring)

NOTES: The Tigers are blessed with an embarrassment of riches in terms of availability. Martin (hamstring) and Graham (foot) should be fit for next week's match, but if not, the Tigers could be unchanged. It's a flip of the coin between Sonsie and Ross as to who makes way for Graham, with Ross' strong performance against Essendon just giving him the edge. Miller's versatility means he can swap from a forward/ruck role to a defence/ruck role, pushing Gibcus out, and allowing for Martin to slip into the attack. Lynch (groin soreness) has been cleared to play.

Don't want Sonsie out for Graham unless he's 100% fit

I previously thought of making edwards the sub, but I’m now thinking we back him in as a known big game player to produce the goods in his final game/games. That leaves graham/Ross/sonsie as the options for the sub. If graham is fit I think he’s in the 22 and if not I don’t think his style suits being the sub so I wouldn’t even have him in the team in that case. Out of Ross and sonsie I’m inclined to have Ross as the sub as I think sonsies classy ball use will come in handy and although Ross was excellent against the bombers he’s yet to prove he can deliver that over a stretch of games.

Good night with Flea, Dion and Tim Livingston tonight, very casual and gave the group some good insights. SE Supporters Group organised it at the Wantirna Club.

Also said Noah C will be fine for next week 🤞. They said by the end of the day he was walking on the dinged foot. You’d think today they will know the full extent of any injury, if there is any.

Tim indicated Dusty would be playing, wait and see I guess but we can only go on what we see and are told.

Lynch a certain starter against the Lions, Dusty has one more session to tick off

Peter Ryan
The Age
August 27, 2022

Star forward Tom Lynch has declared himself a certainty to play against the Brisbane Lions at the Gabba after a sore adductor muscle had him subbed in round 23, but champion midfielder Dustin Martin still has a training session to get through before being declared fit to return from a four-week lay-off.

Triple Norm Smith medallist Martin trained strongly in an open session at Punt Road, engaging in tackling drills and changing direction, while Lynch had a quieter session and left the track before his teammates. Lynch said that he was good to go unless, he joked, “‘Dimma’ [coach Damien Hardwick] doesn’t pick me”.

Lynch has been in superb form this year kicking 21 goals in the final four games when he returned from a minor hamstring injury that coincided with the Tigers dropping three winnable games by less than a goal.

He said once the scans cleared him of any adductor issue he enjoyed the chance to freshen up and would train Monday before the Tigers head to the Gabba on a chartered flight on Wednesday.

Lynch is arguably the Tigers’ most important player with the mercurial Martin having an interrupted year due to personal leave and a hamstring injury.

The key forward said it was stating the obvious to say the that Tigers would love Martin to be running out alongside them in the elimination final.

“I think he has got a couple of things to get through but I am sure that when we make the decision we’ll get that out to you guys,” Lynch said.

Emerging forward Noah Cumberland - who was once in the Brisbane Lions’ academy - was running laps after hurting his ankle in the middle of the week and Lynch said his teammate will be fine to play in his first final.
