The run home: Your club's chances, fixture for final three rounds

Gemma Bastiani
womens.afl
11 October 2022

6. Richmond

20 points (five wins, two losses), 136.2 per cent

Similarly to Geelong, the Tigers have a final three games that open the door for a top four push. They should bag wins against Carlton and GWS, but the real challenge comes against North Melbourne in round 10. Still more than 20 per cent behind Geelong, they not only need to win at least as many as the Cats but also make up percentage if they are to leapfrog into fourth.

The run home
RD8: Carlton at Ikon Park
RD9: GWS at Mildura Sporting Precinct
RD10: North Melbourne at Arden Street

How uneven is the draw?

With 10 games and 18 teams, it's always going to favour some teams over others.

But, if you look at the top 8 right now, we will have played 5 of the top 8 (there will be two we won't play and we are the other team).  We will also have played a few in the top half of the bottom 8 and none of the bottom 3 (including Sydney who have yet to win a game and have a % of 28%).  Incidentally, Geelong play Sydney in the last game so we are never going to make up the 20% and make up the % that Geelong should get from that game

What a stupid time.

There's hardly anyone here

And people say the crowds are poor.  :thumbsdown

Getting dominated early. Didn’t pass our half back line from the first bounce to that goal.

Atrocious umpiring as usual :facepalm.

Conti penalised for going back into the marking contest after Mckenzie took the mark  ::).

Tiger defender then has her legs taken out by a Blue diving in low to smother. No free  ::).

Carlton get the first goal. The game has been in their F50 so far. 8 Inside 50s to our zero. We haven't got it past the centre.

Getting smashed in the contest and lost our structure forward of the ball so we're trying to handball our way through rather than kicking long to targets. Turnovers galore.

This is the worst we've played all year. So soft! Haven't turned up to play and just getting pushed aside so easily.

Game over and we're only in the first quarter.

Making Carlton look like a top side.
