I doubt that club a would be prepared to throw $200k/$300k away for no good reason. That's the sort of money a draftee would be on in total, for their 1st couple of years.

I doubt that club a would be prepared to throw $200k/$300k away for no good reason. That's the sort of money a draftee would be on in total, for their 1st couple of years.

They're forced to pay 95% of the TPP so having a cheap bloke on the list also helps to pay the bigger contracts.

They're forced to pay that money regardless of who's in the spot.

All it takes is a chance. Steely Green took his chance on Sunday. The West Australian has been forced to bide his time in the VFL this season, but after being rewarded with a third appearance, Green showed he can play a role in the rebuild at Punt Road.
