Played well again but needs to pull his head in at times - some selfish play & rushes of blood in the forward 50 in the second half were costly in a one kick game. Needs to stop blowing all his load early and start converting the important chances later in the game as well. Can remind me of Papley at his selfish my-shyte-don't-stink worst.

No it's accurate - some of the praise he gets is way over the top. People carrying on like he's Peter stuffing Daicos.

Seth Campbell

Seth Campbell, Richmond’s 2022 rookie draftee, made fairly significant inroads in 2024 when playing 21 games of AFL football. He won the Tigers’ best first-year player award last season by kicking 10 goals and averaging 11 touches.

But he has taken his game to another level in the first half of 2025.

Campbell leads the club’s goal kicking with 17 majors, has the equal most tackles inside 50 (11 alongside Rhyan Mansell), has the second most score involvements (55), and has provided four goal assists, and is one of the most consistent Tigers this season.

Probably the only consistent goal kicker we have atm. But its time to take his assets into other areas of the ground like the wing.
Yes robbing peter to pay paul but its all about development.

Imo we are screaming out for a player with his attributes to play on the wing.

Callum Twomey said the other day that the Club is in talks with Seth on a contract extension. Under his existing contract, he has hit a games trigger for 2026. However, the Club has decided to rip that up & negotiate a longer term deal to reward him for his form.

Yeah na respectfully . Have to look beyond this year the kid screams out wing. I do agree trying Brown on the other wing though we should be trying everything we can at this point in time.

Campbells attributes  Pace good disposal a huge tank doesnt like to be beaten will go hard both ways its everything we are lacking in our outside mids and he will drift forward and kick goals.

Just about all small forwards are getting some mid time nowdays.

I like the idea of playing Smillie across hb when he plays seniors nice easy role like most clubs give to young players to start with.

Brown - McAuliffe - Campbell not a bad centre line throw Lalor and Hotton into the midfield mix slowly getting there.

Take your leading goal kicker and move them half way up the ground, no thanks. We need better players on the wing but need to look elsewhere first IMO.

It might be worth a crack later in the year - I genuinely think that wing role is being increasingly used as a more powerful offensive weapon by the better teams. He is quick and uses it well. Could potentially get ahead of it and scores goals as well. I  starting to lean toward Balta up forward if Gibcus can successfully return from injury. Miller, Gibcus and Trainor is a decent back 3 to build around…
