Gee, this is such a welcoming place. How dare I have an opinion that differs to the mob's!

I believe that Port should offer an established player for an established player. They want somebody we want to keep? Give something up then. Not just pie-in-the-sky picks that will possibly amount to nothing.

 Enjoy your cubby house, boys.

You can have any opinion you want, that's the point of a forum

So can I .. again, it's a forum

My opinion in this instance is that you are dreamin thinking it isn't a good deal ..

Sorry for thinking you are wrong, I will be careful not to do it in the future

From this point forward, I agree with whatever you say

I would be looking at getting Josh Sinn out of Port for Ivan.

Have we confirmed if he is in any relation to Johnny sinns?

Hawks look likely for Ginnivan.  We should be going after him.
Not coming to us. He's picked the club he barracked for as a kid.

-------------------------

Jack Ginnivan has requested a trade.

The club is aware he’s exploring strong interest from Hawthorn.

Collingwood will engage in talks with the Hawks on a deal involving a potential second or third-round pick.

The Herald Sun has confirmed the Magpies have received this trade request from Ginnivan’s manager John Meesen.

Ginnivan met with the Hawks on Tuesday to discuss his future.

Ginnivan was a Hawthorn supporter growing up.

Explains everything. No wonder he stages for free kicks in every contest. He knows no other way as a Hawthorn supporter growing up.

Free kick Hawthorn.....

I must say it's been a disappointing trade period for us.

No deals, where is our improvement coming from? Where is our vision or plan?

I was critical we left our coaching appointment too late so no player knew or foresaw a move to Richmond with an unknown coach. Appreciate we have lost managers but without Yze analysing list in time this is what happens.

I'd have been pretty active in shopping some players and future picks around to explore better draft hands.
Go Tigers!

There won't be any deals confirmed today until after 3pm.

-------------------------

CLUBS will be able to lodge their trades on Wednesday, but only after 3pm AEDT will the AFL start processing the trades as the league prepares for another prime-time finish.

The deadline of 7.30pm will again be used as leverage by different clubs looking to maximise their deals.

Yze not off to a good start IMO. This has been a shocking trade period.

There are significant holes in the list namely f50, and  the best we can hope for is a poor man's jack in Kosi to really only offset what we  lost.

Clearly Yze and co rate this list to take us deep into September.  :lol

Always love how we do nothing at trade time and it's either the coaches fault or because we didn't appoint a coach early enough

List managers put together lists, coaches have some input. In Yze case he would have been told about our list status contract and salary cap wise. He would know who is up for trade.

But to trade you need currency, you know players that will get you decent picks or you need 1st round picks. Outside our A graders many on here reckon alot on our list are "duds" so what do you expect to get for them 2nd rounders? And

Then there is pesky thing called the salary cap. We have 3 players on big contracts next year, some have suggest each $1mil +. So you'd think we are limited in what we can offer any FA

While I agree with you to a degree I just don't think the vlub is brave enough to make hard decisions.Port offered us a future second rd and pick 41 for Soldo  that's a good deal. Vlastuin should be on the table along with Graham.

Wouldn't trade Floss myself.

Graham absolutely.

Ross no, despite mention of Freo.

Soldo deal apparently finalized.

Soldo + 50 to Port

We get 41 + 49, Freo's 2024 R2 and Ports 2024 R4.

We can assume 41 goes to Hawks for Kosi.

Freo R2 next year will be around 25 unless they fly up the ladder.

Freo '24 P2 could be 25ish in a deeper draft.

I wouldn't be trading either of them at the moment, both coming off down seasons is precisely when you don't trade them. Graham is coming off two interrupted preseasons, and Vlastuin was below par for the first 8 weeks at least. We'd be trading at the bottom of their value. It's a typical supporter thing to try to trade blokes after poor seasons and then expect other clubs to cough up great picks. Doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

Whoops! Essendon seems likely to lose Massimo D'Ambrosio for nothing as a delisted free agent now.
