Latest injury update from Physical Performance Manager Luke Meehan ahead of Sunday's Round 18 clash with West Coast at Optus Stadium.
Jacob Bauer, hamstring"It was heartbreaking, wasn't it. Right at the start of the game, two minutes in, Jacob's turned and hit a kick and felt his hamstring. He tried to battle on, as he does, he's pretty tough, Jacob. We made the call to take him off, he's hurt himself and it's probably on the minor end of things. Shattering, really, given the circumstances. The good news is he's started moving again today and his mood's picked up, and we look forward to having him back in the short-term."
Jayden Short, hamstring "Shorty's jumping out of his skin to get back, as everyone would expect. He's running, things are progressing really well.... We'll see Jayden back pretty soon."
Tom Lynch, foot"No update at the moment, it's a very frustrating, slow process and no one's more frustrated than Tom. We're going to take zero risks with Tom, the bone healing process is really slow and it's something we have to be really careful with."
Josh Gibcus, hamstring "Josh is working really hard, he's putting in a great block. He's looking stronger in the gym and he's starting to increase his speed outside. He has a really important scan in two weeks' time and we'll know more then."
Seth Campbell, adductor "Some good news here, Seth's put in an awesome month of work and did probably his biggest session since he's been at the Club last Thursday. He's commenced skills with the team and we're hoping to see some game time against Box Hill next week."
Mate Colina, back "We got some good news on Mate finally, after seeing some specialists. His scans are all clear with his back, he's commenced some on-field running. We're going to spend the rest of this season getting him really strong and with good technique, and set him up for for a good off-season and pre-season."
