Next 8 Games before the BYE
« on: April 24, 2023, 11:59:20 PM »
GC at Marvel - Win
WCE at MCG - Win
Cats at MCG - Hopeful
Dons at MCG - Should Win with players back
Port at MCG - Win
Giants in Sydney - Win
Freo in Perth - Should Win
Saints at MCG - Tough under current form

Then bye. Win 6 of these 8. We go into the bye 6 wins a draw and 6 losses. With a second game against WCE and games against Hawks and Roos. There are wins ahead. I don't think we need to be all doom and gloom.
Go Tigers!

I like the optimism T.  :clapping

Add to all that our fitness will hopefully improve and fingers crossed we learn how to hit a target by foot and it’s plain sailing into finals.  :gotigers

Thanks mate agree need to be optimistic but wouldn't surprise me if we don't beat Port here or Freo there at least

Normally I'd be optimistic but I'm as flat as a pancake right now.

Extremely worried about our next game at Comic Book Stadium-v- the Suns

Love to win 6 of 8 but not that confident we will beat the Suns next week.

I’m extremely pessimistic about our run from here to the bye. I would only give us a chance against the WA teams and given the volatility of our playing form I’m not even confident on that

I'm all for pessimistic views but we've only lost 4 games and to 4 decent sides who 3 will finish top 4 in my mind at worst top 6. With 2 of them being top 2.

Pies - Premiership favs, we were in the game
Dogs - Lost in the wet by 2 points and Dogs are now in form, some dodgy umpiring, should have won.
Swans - Bad night
Dees - at full strength apart from Brown, should have won.

I think many of us have been accustomed to winning 3/4 of our games or better and being 6 points at Round 6 feels very foreign. But give us a different draw and it's be interesting to see where we'd be at.

Tough draw, injured players. It's been a poo start, bring on the next block of games. Broad back, we were much better with Short back. Graham hopefully back soon with Nank and we start to get some nucleus back.
Go Tigers!

The only game out of that lot I'm confident of us winning is against the Eagles as they are completely decimated.

We will not get near the Cats sadly now they are back up and running  :P.

Are they that up and running.

Sure they belted Swans at their home ground which they never lose at anyway against no defence. Granted same defence we couldn't beat but gather round form is an unknown for mine.

They belted Eagles they belted Hawks who are bottom 2. They haven't beated anyone else, apart from last week. I'm not sold on Cars at all.

Every AFL club’s predicted ladder position on the ladder at the mid-season byes

One big Victorian side won’t be happy with how the round 15 predicted ladder looks, while there are mixed expectations in South Australia. See where your side might sit in six weeks time.

RICHMOND

R9: Geelong @ MCG (L)

R10: Essendon @ MCG (W)

R11: Port Adelaide @ MCG (W)

R12: GWS @ GIANTS (W)

R13: Fremantle @ Optus (W)

R14: St Kilda @ MCG (L)

R15: Bye

Predicted Record: 6-7-1

Predicted Ladder Position: 11th

We shouldn’t get too sucked in by a good second half against an injury-hit West Coast last weekend. The Tigers could well get brought back to earth by Geelong on Friday night – a team they haven’t beaten since the 2020 Grand Final. Regardless, Richmond should be favoured to beat Essendon in the Dreamtime clash, given they have won their past 13 games against the Bombers. There is still a glimmer of hope for the Tigers as their draw opens up and the injury crisis eases, but there is a lot of work to do.

We have to be beating Don's Port and Giants and even Freo with the form they are showing. Injuries aren't a good enough excuse with only Nank and Lynch main outs.
Go Tigers!
