No matter what happens Dimma is a true legend of the club.  We all are indebted to him for what he did for the club.
But .. the game plan did look tired.  Change is not always a bad thing.

I wonder how the players who signed and stayed on for this season feel ? Hopper, Taranto, Jack, Cotchin all joined in to play for Hardwick. Must be a strange feeling

Especially the first 2 you mention,  he met both of them and sold them the vision that he would be leading

Agree in many ways WP, but at in elite performance environment which famously was built around trust, embracing strengths no focussing on weaknesses, family first, good person first good footballer 2nd. I don't blame people having the opinion that this was a large catalyst of us falling from our peak.

Plenty of standards have dropped, from injury management, discipline free kicks and 50m penalties, decision making, failing to win close ones, giving up leads.

I don't think it's a insult to Dimma to suggest this ruined our club, it didn't and he is entitled to do what ever he wants with his life but as a father figure to many at the club this would have had a significant impact on his image, respect, and authority regarding meeting standards.

I hold no grudges about the impact it would have had it is what it is.
Go Tigers!

It has never been the same dynamic since he decided to renege on his vows to his wife.

Who knows how it effected the players (and wags).

Even if it’s on a subconscious level his personal integrity is compromised and his own words lose some of their meaning.

Agreed.

Also agree.

Has never been the same since.

I know you want to believe "he decided to renege on his vows to his wife" and that you base this on media reports regarding on the breakdown down of his marriage

But none of us know what really happened nor do really know what if any impact the situation had on the playing group

Fair to say I disagree with your commentary but you are most definitely entitled to your view

Apparently new girlfriend was up there working, doing different duties, which most of them found odd.

Mrs Hardwick flew up for a surprise visit and got a big surprise herself.

That's from the mouth of a player on the list during that period (now delisted).

Also the quarantine hubs were a joke, people throwing cocaine bags over the fence for them basically every day apparently lol.

"I'd say it's better than a 50 per cent chance (that Damien Hardwick is coaching elsewhere next year)."

On the topic of Dimma himself, I am surprised. Eternally grateful to him and wish him all the best.

Honestly job well done - Guy deserves his statue out the front of punt road .

Change can be goood . Might reinvigorate a few .

100% he’s a club legend.

I think now that our season is cooked he’s just run out of gas.

Been at the helm 14 years. prick of a job at the best of times.

Thank you Dimma.

Tom Morris reveals the finer details of breaking the news of Damien Hardwick's decision to quit Richmond.

WATCH HERE: https://twitter.com/1116sen/status/1660593813973266432

Hardwick didn't respond to Tom Morris' requests.

The Club wanted Tom Morris to wait until tomorrow after the players were told but Morris went public anyway  ::).

There's a word that you've used in there and that's weaknesses. While you said that we don't focus on them, the Club does still embrace people's flaws and by extension weaknesses.

I can only go by the conversations I've had with the players I sponsor and I trust what they tell me and from that I don't believe it has had the impact that many seem to believe
