Langerak not made a mistake for dortnond...

Other than getting his teeth knocked out

Borussia Dortmund manager Juergen Klopp is a big fan of goalkeeper Mitch Langerak.

The 24-year old Australian will step into the suspended Roman Weidenfeller’s boots for his 11th appearance for the German club when they head to Augsburg for the 2013/14 Bundesliga opener on Saturday.

So far, Langerak has not been a part of a losing Dortmund side indicating that Klopp is very comfortable with his keeping stocks.

"You think you are getting a beach boy from Australia, but what you actually get is an unbelievable hard worker," said Klopp.

"Mitch is a very competitive character: goalkeeper is one position which we can react without problems when there are any injuries."

Dortmund’s director of sport Michael Zorc added: "Mitch is the competitive type: he's strong both on the line and in the air, plus he's brave.”

Mitch is a great talent and would have him in the squad, but  hes not getting game time week in week out whih is the one thing that will probably cost him the number 1 spot at this moment in time.

Shouldn't be allowed to play for Australia if A-League is the highest level you have ever played at. Why is Schwarzy retiring now? And where is Federicci? Wilkshire gawn it seems.

This is rubbish. Ange and his 5 year plan

na, thats stupid

Why? Why do A-League players get picked over blokes who actually get the occasional game at a decent standard in Europe? AFC Wimbledon would probably give the best side in the A-League a hiding. You don't see blokes from Division 3 getting a game for England.

And where is Federicci?

Still at Reading, should be our number 1 keeper

I know where he is ;D And yes a I agree. The lad has played consistent Premiership & Championship football and he gets overlooked constantly. I am a fan of Galegovic but stuff me, go and get a game in a decent comp.

Didn't the fed get a bit messed up after his kid died?

I think for example western Sydney would give pom third divsion sides a run for their money.

S ono would be if not the best very close to the better player in that division. Even the Ike of mooy has shown he is good enough for scot top tier whike spiranovic is good enough for the championship. I would think troisi,ADP would get a run for Wimbledon. Troisi at the peak of his powers choosing Melbourne while contracted to juventus says something

I know its in fashion to say the a league is rubbish, but the standard is on the improve.

MVC 2nd half vs Adelaide for example was quality. (Granted, Adelaide was shyte)

I agree Eugene is a donkey smoocher

It wasn't that long ago Fulham bought leijer. Armini and langrrak sided for Europe's 2ns best side direct from Australia domestic league

England has been poo for half a century hence perhaps not the ideal benchmark

Did you just say Dortmund are the 2nd best side in Europe? And what are you trying to say with Troisi?

Yes and Hawthorn can't beat us so I guess that = Richmond best team in the AFL? Arsenal just beat Dortmund so Arsenal = current 2nd best side in Europe? And don't tell me Greece were one of the top two sides in Europe in 2004 :lol :lol
